Jared Gaither

One of the few positives from this game. Gaither shut out Freeney for no sacks or tackles and had one nice block on a sweep where he picked up a corner running at full speed.

Positives people, look at the positives. Whats done is done, and we are better than this game.

Freeney did get by him a few times on that patented spin move, but yes no sacks came of it which is a good thing... I am more worried about Willie Anderson getting taken to school by Mathis for 3 sacks

Gaither played him as well as Jon Ogden has. Even Ogden got beat by Freeney with the spin move. Gaither continues to play like that he has a shot to make the Pro Bowl if we finish with a solid record.

And yes, Willie Anderson looked pathetic in pass protection. I'm sure he will make progress and he's not in perfect shape yet but it's clear why he's playing RT. He's a great run blocker but he struggles bigtime against pass rushers.

True, Jared Gaither, Grubbs, and Brown have been doing a solid job for us. Yanda was doing a good job, that is, until he got injured...

You know, I'm embarrased to say that I completely missed that point. I was so upset about being embarrassed, that I didn't take a look at the positives. Thanks for bringing me back to that. :D

It's so true. You rarely hear Giather's name called by the commentators during a game. That's a good thing, considering that most LT get their name called when they are getting beat on the weakside. Gaither is proving himself in my eyes.

Terry was good to before he went down. The fact that our run game was non existant leads me to believe that Terry is better then I thought.

Exactly, as on OL you NEVER want your name (or number) announced throughout a game, unless of course the commentators are complimenting a ferocious pancake block!

I think Rolle and Washington being down has magnified, Landry not being there.

Yes, I couldn't be happier to have Jered on that left side, I knew he was going to be great and he's just getting started. :D
