I'm not at all annoyed.

Isn't it Clarence Brooks' turn to get promoted? We tend to promote from within then replace the position coach. Brooks makes the most sense but Teryl Austin could be in with a shot, too.

What about Peeves or whatever his name is... wasn't he the coordinator in New England when they had a great defense.

Our D loved Pags and his style. What if we end up with another Mattison? Who do we lose next year and the year after that? Our defense loved Pags and he let them down with a horrible team to headcoach. Id rather be a champion assistant then a loser HC

Yeah, he could be.

Any positional coach has a shot, pretty much.

Why would all of them go? I do not even think that Indy could afford all of them considering the huge payout they will owe Manning. Even if they cut him, there will be a load of dead money involved.

Really. Bad career move IMHO. He was only a DC for a year. How much can he know about HC? And with the dregs of that team. It will be years before they get anywhere. Good luck. He is going to need it.

I understand that our guys wont leave for the Colts for Pagano, but if Pagano puts offers on the table that are better than our offers, then I could see us losing some players. Especially guys like JJ and Cory Redding who could lose their starting jobs anyway if they choose to return.

I think Williams is restricted as well. Thought I read that anyway.

Don't forget INDY has a lot of salary cap in Manning, he's not going be able to afford to take a lot.

Actually, Pees was brought in for this very reason. After spending a year under Pags, he is ready to take over the DC position. I like how the Ravens promote from within. One outsider that I would consider would be Mike Singletary. He could fire up the defense. Pags leaving doesn't seem to be perceived as negative. The defense was much better under him then it was with Mattson. I like the idea of firing Cameron.

Well, he certainly took a job where the only direction to go is up. Thanks, Coach!

You guys saying these guys are restricted so they wont go anywhere are being very optimistic. There is no two round tenders this year. These teams that are CB needy and are at the end of the rounds (Patriots, Bengals, Broncos, Saints, Giants) and there are more. Some of them will be willing to throw away late first round for a proven CB like Webb that is young. These teams are just going to drive up the price for him making the Ravens spend more. It will be the same with Cary and our other RFA.

Also 25 % of the league are free agents this year, not everyone is going to get paid

Yeah, this off-season is not starting well for us. Hopefully things change for the better...

I'd be content with guys like JJ, Zibby, Nakamura, McClain to go. Hopefully not Cary or Webb (unless they want to give us their Lucky pick (see what I did there? ;)).

I don't know why people are okay with JJ leaving. He is very underrated & he should retire as a Raven. Period.

Well, i thought Heap, Mason, and even Gregg should've retired Ravens too, but that didn't happen. Its a business. We have someone that could replace JJ in Kruger and could probably do just as much if not do better. We can save the money to bring back Rice, Grubbs, or lock up Flacco or Webb long term. I agree though, i do wish he could retire a Raven.

I think Williams is restricted, your right. I am just guessing based on the fact Pagano likes Williams, and Williams likewise likes Pagano, i dont know what king of tender the Ravens would put on him, or how much they will be willing to pay him, with Webb being restricted and having Smith. Its all speculation on my part.

I dont really think all of them will go, although that is how my post came off, i would have been better off saying that if the Ravens dont resign these guys they would probally like to end up with Pagano.

I believe we will be keeping most of our players save a few. Zbikowski, McKinney are the two that I think could be gone. I like how a few of them are taking it as a foregone conclusion that Webb will follow Pagano to the Colts when he's a restricted free agent.
Ozzie, please sign Marcus McNeil (LT). It's all I want for off-season. Thanks.

To me, things are pretty simple. If the Ravens actively pursue JJ and Redding, they'll return unless they receive a ridiculous offer. Both of them have made it known that they LOVE Baltimore and let's not forget that neither has a ring to show for. When you're at the final stages of your career, you want to finish strong. I don't see us losing any of these guys and even more so to the worst team in the league. Of course, this is provided we don't take the Heap/Mason route.
