I have to agree about Ellerbe. I liked him more than McClain at one point, but it's clear that at this point Ellerbe has been surpassed by McClain. I still think it's very important we draft a replacement for Lewis in the draft. I'm not sold on McClain leading the defense in the middle.

Also, regarding letting McClain walk...

I'm sorry, but if we get into a bidding war for him between teams like the Colts, Giants, Eagles, Cardinals then we will lose him. It depends on what he values. We won't break the bank for him and shouldn't.

I'm wondering where all the Ellerbe lovers are. All season they cried about how great he was and how McClain sucks, but our defense did better after we put McClain in for Ellerbe. Ellerbe was awful in coverage, and awful in run stopping.

Yeah. Ellerbe looked out of place against the Patriots. He honestly seemed like the Frank Walker of the linebackers that day. Unless the staff believe in him I don't think he should be back.
Ozzie, please sign Marcus McNeil (LT). It's all I want for off-season. Thanks.

I think he'll be back. He may not be that great, but he provides depth in a ILB group that will need replacements soon. I think we tender him, and cut him after camp.

ellerbe isn't bad, but isn't great. He's okay to have on the roster for the depth he provides. He's not that much worse than McClain, who stepped it up in a major way this year.

Marwan Maalouf & Roy Anderson have joined Pagano in Indy as reported in the LFW article on BaltimoreRavens.com. I'm indifferent about Marwarn, but Roy was our defensive assistant. Sad to see him go to Indy.

Well folks, with Cam returning I wouldn't be surprised to see the entire defense pack up and leave town.

I also wouldn't be surprised to see Flacco refuse to sign a new contract and take a walk next season.

its really not that serious lol

lol maybe not. It was a heat of the moment post to be sure.

Remains to be seen regarding Flacco. I really don't think he's a big fan of Cam nor his play calling.

From what I am hearing, it was unanimous to keep Cam. I heard Flacco & Rice both wanted him back. Either way, we should just support Cam and move forward. It's over now at least. Let's see what next season brings.

I knew about Rice, but if it's true about Flacco....even better. The fire Cam ship has sailed people! He's our guy for the time being. I'm excited about what our future holds with all these young pieces.

Yeah I heard Rice and that really isn't surprising. I haven't heard a peep out of Flacco one way or the other though, which is telling itself. However, I have no doubt if put on the spot he would say the politically correct thing. He's not an idiot.

Flacco knows he'd be put on end around duty if he came outta place against Cam openly.... Harbaugh won't stand for that. Really though either way I don't mind if its this year or next that Flacco is locked up, he should realize from all the past signings they usually wait til the contract expires before the talks really become serious. On topic, I say JJ, hopefully a trade for Carr, Redding and maybe McClain. oh ya, wouldn't be surprised to see Grubbs over there either.

So who will be the 1st to go to the Colts? It appears Pagano already has the wheels in motion to bring some Ravens to the Colts.

Pagano on getting ex-players: "I think if you look at history and the coaches that have moved on, history would tell you that takes place."I think if you look at history and the coaches that have moved on, history would tell you that takes place.

After seeing this I was very upset Roy Anderson left, he looks really promising and young, at one point in his career he is gonna be a great DC and possibly HC. Atleast he will be mentored right under Pags

Yeah. First he leaves, then he takes Roy. That kind of irritated me. I don't care about the other guy, whatever his name was. I really liked what I've seen from Roy, though.

At least he hasn't taken anyone else yet. No big-name coaches. He better be careful what defensive players he gets. I'm sure this isn't the end of him taking our talent.
