In house. My guess is LB coach Dean Pees. It seems the most logical.

I hope we bring in Jack Del Rio. He failed as a HC but was a pretty damn good defensive coach. Was the linebackers coach of that great defense in 2000 that won the Superbowl. First year as DC in Carolina and they finished 2nd in defense. And with his failed head coaching resume he may have some staying power.

In house we have Teryl Austin, the secondary coach, Roy Anderson defensive assistant, Clarence Brooks D-Line, Ted Monachino linebackers, and Dean Peas linebackers. Not really sure who we could find outside.

Clarence Brooks has the tenure. I would think him.

On a sidenote, with the way special teams played, how crazy is it that it is a possibility that we may have 3 new coordinators this season....

Actually the more I look at it, I like Peas. He was the D coordinator of New England from 2006-2009. In those four seasons they finished 2nd, 4th, 8th, and 5th in the league in points allowed.

They are all solid, honestly. We have a good defense. It won't be a bad idea if we brought back Del Rio. He had Jacksonville high in the defensive rankings.

From what I know of him. He does like to be aggressive, which will please many here. And coming from the defensive school of Bill never hurts. I fully see Pees as our next DC.

I realy like Steve Spagnuolo and even after the Rams poor season I still think it was harsh to fire him
But this is too late now and he's gone to the Saints

Promote from within I say
Clarence Brooks

Isn't this moved almost always (if not always) made in house? I will go with the consensus here and say Pees as well.

It would be great to have Del Rio on the staff somehow.

Chalk up another one to the Ray Lewis Coaching Tree.

That is pretty crazy.

I'd say in house or Del Rio, maybe.

I wish we could have a Defensive coordinator who just loves staying here and rejects all offers because he loves our D so much lol.

Everyone needs to relax. The Ravens were the Ravens before him and we will be the Ravens after him. After Mattison resigned last year, I don't remember people calling for Pagano as if he was our salvation. The thing is we don't know what we have on our team. We will be okay.

I like Monachino, Dean, or Jack Del Rio the best. Austin might be good too. I like secondary DCs.

It will be Dean Pees, he has coordinator experience in a pretty good place. Though I dont think he as did much (Belichick is his own DC) as a normal DC would do for game planning and scheming. But he knows what he's doing.

Friggin Pagano, REALLY?! The COLTS?! Who the hell is going to play OLB and NT for you?!

Im leaning towards Teryl Austin to get the nod over Clarence Brooks or Pees or Monachino

Not sure who they would look at outside of the system maybe Del Rio, Maybe Mark Carrier will come back
Ive always liked Pepper Johnson the DL coach for the Patriots

Maybe Ozzie would lure Kirby Smart from Alabama, he seems like a bright young mind

Maybe he works magic with Jerry Hughes who to this point is a bust? Or JJ could go there. And they could bring in McKinney from here as well

I say we find a long term Defensive Cordinator but when Ed Reed and Ray Lewis Retire I say we make them Coaches at the Positions cause Ray and Ed just not being apart of the orginazation would be so diffrent its not even funny

Gotta go Del Rio ...

Trend in the NFL is to get the coordinators with no prior HC experience...so if we hired from within we just be grooming the next pagano...
