This may be unpopular, but I think Pagano got outcoached and outplayed in the latter half of the season. In the beginning, when all the players were healthy and teams expected Mattison style "vanilla" defenses, he surprised some teams, but at the end of the season, I think teams countered his blitz happy tactics pretty well.

Perhaps we promote Monachino? I heard he was critical in Suggs' development as a player.

yes! jk! we had a great defense this year. i just hope we can find someone who we can keep as DC longer than a year or two.

Obviously not. I'm upset that someone took the [u]good[/u] coordinator after one season. Definitely being selfish, now, but it is what it is. We'll move on without Chuck Pagano.

This one hurts. Real bad. Chuck Pagano is everything you want in a coach; intelligence, guts, humility with a pinch of swagger. Definition of a players coach and is level headed unlike Rex ryan and Charismatic and in control unlike Marvin . We usually hire within and my guess right now is Clarence Brooks.

Sooo mad. I'm happy for him but he couldn't go to the Bucs? Stay out of the conference!

Yeah, he is a great coordinator and I think he had sooooooo much to do with Cary Williams and Webb playing at a high level. But it was only 1 season. As long as we don't get conservative like we did with Mattison we will be fine. Brooks will hopefully keep dialing up the pressure and the organized chaos.

Also, count your blessings Lewis is coming back (and hopefully Reed) or this would be much worse.
