Anyone happen to come across any video of Boldin's catch/fumble out of bounds?

People at work were telling my the spot they gave us was awful.. and a few of em were convinced we had the 1st down. Not saying that's true, just wanted to take a look for myself.

Did anyone else get a chance to look at it again? Was it a pretty legit spot?

misinformative scoreboard, non-review Evan's TD catch, no penalty calls of holding on the Pats, on and on, which made the long forgotten Boldin's catch irrelevant....

That entire scoreboard thing started from that play though. So I'm kinda curious now as to where they spotted it. People at work were totally convinced that he had the 1st down before the ball even came out.

I don't have the video link, but I saw he had 2 feet in bound after the catch and then fumbled the ball out of bound. They spotted the ball where he fumbled at.

So he got a fair spot?

Fair enough, thanks.

The game was totally fixed in the Patzies favor. We could catch no breaks and they got miraculous flags. The scoreboard guy forgot to reset the downs? Boldin was lucky they didn't give the ball to the NE Knuckleheads on that play.

I'm not gonna say it was fixed. I'm sure both sides got away with stuff. The last 2 minutes were just so crazy that I totally forgot about that play in particular.

He stretched forward and got the first down BEFORE fumbling, I think. The issue is whether or not he had a first down at the spot where he fumbled. I remember thinking that he did, but I'd like to see a video.

The announcers said during the game that after 2 minutes a fumbled ball out of bounds is placed at the spot of the fumble rather that the spot it goes out of bounds.

Either way it is the perfect Super Bowl for media outlets like ESPN...Two of the biggest markets in the country and their beloved pretty boy Tom Terrific will be in the spotlight....Oh My!!!

I knew for a fact we got the first and then some. But I thought it must of been a rule or something to spot the ball the way they did. I didnt care at the time I was in the zone

We all know that, we're trying to find the video to see if he had the first down BEFORE the fumble.

I really think that he was stopped short of the first down. I was watching the game and would have screamed bloody murder if it wasn't. I watched the replay and was satisfied with the call. I knew the ball couldn't be advanced on a fumble unless someone jumped on it before it went out of bounds. At that time, I was confident that we could at least kick a FG to tie the game. The pass to Evans caught me offguard. Now that was one that made me jump up and scream, "TD!" I'm still pissed about the call. I'm even more pissed that Cundiff missed the kick. I saw a picture from the Terps game where students had spelled out Cundiff high and wide to the left of the backboard. He will never live it down in this state.

I agree it's a rubbish angle, but I disagree that it looks like it was a yard shy from that angle. I think it looks like he got it, but from that angle it's all just a matter of opinion because you can't really see squat.
