Brady's Media Treatment

17 posts in this topic

Just what the hell is going on?

Tom Brady stunk it up, but no media outlet is questioning Brady's performance vs Ravens.

They are glorifying him, making him look like he had a HOF performance last night. Its so apparant how different the treatment we are getting vs. Patriots.

Just look at what we had to deal with last week after texas performance: they would ridicule till every last minute of our existence.

Now look at Patriots today. They are(yet again) looked as a 'Dynasty' team after several questionable performance(as well as a help from refs: the evans non td review, the patriots defense getting ZERO penalty after they obviously laid 3/4 personal foul).

This is just ridiculous. It makes me sick!

Brady is a 3 time Superbowl Champion, has reached 5 Superbowls now, a 7-time pro-bowler, 2 time MVP, 2 time offensive player of the year, NFL comeback player of the year, 2 time sporting news sportsman of the year, 2 time AP Male Athlete of the year, has NFL records for TD passes in a season and passes completed without an interception, and is one of 4 quarterbacks in NFL history to throw for 5 thousand yards in a season. Joe Flacco is a talented young quarterback that everyone keeps saying only succeeds because of his defense and that everyone is quick to blame every game on. Why do you think Brady gets almost no flack while Flacco is roasted daily?

his team won and he played bad, now the defense is getting credit but Tom in another Superbowl they think or hope he plays better in the SB

but the Giants have that DL and they get pressure on the QB

Brady admitted he sucked yesterday, and he did. The Ravens beat them selves more so than the Patriots beat them. I know the gut wrenching feeling you guys have. I had it in 2008 when we lost the SB.

You guys have a great team, and Flacco is much better than what the media portrays him to be. See you guys next season. keep the Faith.

Eli Manning needs to be recognized. Money, power brings things to like. Look at Kraft yesterday, no compliment for the Ravens organization. Bilichick at least recognized the fact the they may not have made the superbowl.

There is no performance Tom Brady could turn in and not be praised at this point. I would bet that every single media outlet is already courting him to work with them some day. He's still the face of the league.

*gag*

The NFL got what they wanted, two large market teams with known QB's making the trip to Indy. Better for viewer rating and merchandise sales.

Another Brady/Manning Super Bowl that I couldn't care less about.

I barely even know what those are. My sister has at least 100 pairs of shoes, and I don't think she even owns a pair, lol. But yeah, he's the spokesman for Uggs, and he has hair like Justin Bieber, which probably helps because every time a pre-teen Google's Bieber I bet they also get pics of Brady and sites comparing Bieber and Brady.

Steve Wyche seems to think the Patriots are the "gold standard" because they won a tight game. When we win tight games they insult our QB and count us out of a game where we outplayed the "gold standard" Pats.

Flacco would never hear the end of it if we won like that. Flacco is supposed to shred good defenses like the Texans, yet it's ok for Brady to struggle against the Ravens, the Jets, and the Giants in his most recent postseason games not including the Broncos.

The only standard I'm seeing here is a double standard.

This is one of the advantages of living in the UK, not having the Brady/Patriots love wherever you look.

Man, after watching him play yesterday, I can rant all day about him. He is the definition of a system quarterback. He dinks and dunks his way all down the field, but yet he is elite. Without Belichek, Brady is no better than Trent Dilfer. I mean seriously, how is this guy elite at all, he is not passer, he throws dump offs to his receivers and they bail him out with their yac ability. Switch places with Flacco and Brady. In our system, Brady is not half the qb Flacco is. He actually has to throw the ball more than five yards down the field. You guys see what happens to brady when that happens. 3 for 11 yesterday with two picks. This guy is a joke. Even Matt Cassel, a man who didnt even start one game in college was able to lead the pats to 11 wins when brady got hurt.

Because Brady might just end up as the best QB ever when he retires.

No shame in having a bad game against a D like ours.
