Is there like a pill I can take? I mean, really? Another dropped ball by a WR to end our season? Clayton a few years ago! Mason against Pitt! Boldin/Housh against Pitt! And now Evans against NE!

There should no one doubting Flacco anymore! He gets us in position time and time again, but his teammates fail him!

Semantics...it was a ball that should have been caught and hit the turf. And no, it was not a catch!

I'm placing my acidic hatred on Lee Evans. Sorry had he held on to that ball, Billy wouldn't have even had to show up at the end of that game. If I am going to throw any one player under the bus over this, will be him and him alone.

ravensdfan worry not...Rayray has already emphatically stated to the media that he'll be back next season. Jury's still out on Reed and Birk though. I guess this off-season is when we'll find out for sure either way.

I felt seriously crappy last night..depressed...until I logged onto Fb this morning and saw this:

Before anyone gets it twisted...

We win as a team.

We lose as a team.

We wanted this more than anything we've ever wanted in our entire lives. ALL of us. I promise.

Football is a game to many, but it's our LIFE.

My team, the Baltimore Ravens, is a TEAM and...we're YOUR team. ALL OF US.

TERRELL SUGGS, 55, RAVENS

And somehow that made the sting go away. Purple and black Ravens pride forever!

I agree it should have been caught, but had Evans been wide open like Mason was, it would have been. Mason had no defender on him at the time.

I just can't believe we outplayed them in every facet of the game, yet lost. If you'd tell me that Joe would outperform Brady and that Brady would throw 0 TD. I wouldn't thought a Ravens blowout.

Positive note is I got to shave off my beard which was really starting to get annoying. Still, I'm proud of this team. So many of guys made plays yesterday. The only guys I dislike right now is Evans, Cundiff, Cam, Dickson and Birk.

I rarely watch the Super Bowl. Last time I really watched it was the last time we didn't make the playoffs.

I go into a football hole. I know I am posting now, but I feel like I will soon disappear on the board until the draft. Just because I don't like football right now and don't understand why I continually put myself through this.

Yeah, I get that. Wasnt my point, really. That's a hypothetical situation cause Evans wasn't wide open. He had a PERFECTLY ball thrown hit his hands and he loosened up as he turned towards the side/back of the EZ and then pop! Hold that damn thing. Either way, a costly WR misfortune caused our season to end. Unbelievable!!

I couldn't sleep. I kept dreaming of "What if Joe hit Torrey Smith on that one deep ball over the middle? What if Lee Evans made that catch? What if Cam Cameron was ditched before the flight up to New England?" It so sucks. I'm not even watching the Super Bowl. I have an extreme hatred for both teams.

Man I had nightmares as well, still in disbelief this morning. Even with the mistakes in my opinion the biggest mistake of all was the missed holding call on Moore during third down. What is it with these ref's always protecting the Patriots. The hold was blatant, I couldn't even sit still when I saw it, they just let Moore get away with it. At that point we should have called timeout before rushing the fieldgoal. I know none of it matters, but that hold would have resulted in a new set of downs.

Not to be a downer, but how can you laugh at that? Right now, that thought makes me sick to no end.

Wish I was never born in Baltimore... I might have to give up watching football for good I think its safe to say I have zero faith that the Ravens will ever make it back to the big one in my life time and I'm in my 20's. If you want to know what happens when you consistently fall short look at the Jets. Next year we don't even live to see the post season the Browns, Bengals, and Squeelers won't be swept by us 2 years in a row is a fact.

The most humble people can look back and laugh at their mistakes. It's also a great form of coping. It sucks, but we can still look back and enjoy the season that was.

this is the reaction every year but we have consistently seen that Ozzie and this front office knows what they're doing. We have a QB and no matter what else happens we will always have a chance to win games

Come on Pu, you put yourself through this because you love football and the Ravens. We are all feeling bad but we have a lot to be proud of. We played outstanding right up to the end. Yes those terrible mistakes, but the one the one that makes me the maddest is the missed holding call on Moore during third down. Blatant hold and the ref's let it go. Well make changes and be back stronger like Suggs said.

I agree, maybe a little fight for the ball, would have given us the game. After all he only needed to hold it for a second and had no need to run since he was already in the endzone.

Talk about extreme. If you are limping the way our organization runs a football team with the Jets, then know don't know football. This Ravens organization is one of the best at drafting, managing rosters, making smart business/football decisions and not panicking. They will always give this team a fighting shot at the Super Bowl, every year!

Joe is getting better, we still Rice. A young CB squad who's only going to get better. We have to great guards a young WR that is making strides in his first season.

I'll be recharged for next year. Once the pads start going on again I start getting the football fever. I'll be rev'd up for Ravens football when it comes back.

I came to work today feeling pride in my team and excited to see what the off-season will bring.

I work with a guy who is a:

1. Penn State fan
2. 9ers fan
3. Ravens fan

in that order.

Plus, his computer had some corruption issues that ate 8 hours' worth of his work on Friday.

He is really not having a good day.

It just kills me that we missed a cool full circle moment (Ray going against the same team that gave him his first SB), all because Lee Evans has cotton hands. Unbelievable.

I feel that way. I was in State College yesterday my wife went there (she was really down yesterday). Then the Ravens lose. The Caps lose (again) to Pitt. Then I find a leak stain in my living room ceiling which seems to be dripping from the roof somewhere.

Oh yesterday was not a good day.

Dang havoc. I feel for your coworker. Just heard about Paterno last night as I was watching the NFC game. And I completely agree Deep6. That missed holding call was blatant and ridiculous. And people accuse me of wearing a tin hat for thinking the refs are against us...If they're gonna call that little touch foul on Webb (when Edelman hooked his arm) to negate the Pollard interception, they needed to call that hold on Moore and they blew it. Three bogus plays right in a row. But Joe Flacco, you did a hell of a job sir. I was mad at my cousin for blaming it on Flacco. He said he didn't make good reads and took too many sacks. He took sacks because he didn't get protection. He had one bad play, but he made up for it with that last drive. And I completely commend him for that. Next year, we have a full offseason. Flacco's gonna get on target with all his receivers (watch out DB's) and we will come back strong.

I avoided the forums last night intentionally, now that I've collected myself, a few thoughts...

The Patriots made just enough plays to somehow win, period. So I'm not going to take anything away from them.

That said, I really hate to be like this, but its blatantly obvious who the Vegas house money was on in this game. The last thing I wanna do is complain about the officiating and make us as fans sound like broken records, but there were 2 obvious calls that took good plays away from us and helped then.

1) The illegal contact on Webb on the Pollard INT was one of the most ridiculous penalties of the year. Webb backpedals while covering his receiver and the guy plows into him almost knocking him over coming out of his break, yeah definitely on the defense there zebras.

2) Why in the world was the potential Evans Td not reviewed? I was under the impression that the NFL was review all scoring AND potential scoring plays this year regardless. Had they reviewed it and come up with the same conclusion I wouldn't be complaining. In the "bang bang" of the play it looked incomplete to me, but when they slowed it down, it definitely appeared that Lee had just gotten his second foot down a split second before it was knocked out of his hands.

I can't bring myself to watch the Super Bowl now, but go Giants! We just gave you guys a good blueprint to finish the job!

Im shocked that ESPN is so in favor of the Ravens...they are saying we got robbed, IT was and should have been a TD

need rule changes so more plays are review-able and whats a TD and whats not

Like many people here, I can't put into words how I feel this morning. I've read these posts for more than a year now. However, today I feel so strongly about Sunday that I have to comment.

1. Cam Cameron must go. We need a FAR LESS predictable offense. Yes, Ray Rice can be a beast. BUT, if you're constantly handing the ball off to him 90% of time on first down, what does that get you? I was happy to see that someone figured out we needed to stop doing that Sunday.

2. Cundiff must go. Ever since he missed that game-winning kick at Minnesota against Brett Favre, I've always held my breath when Cundiff comes on the field (EVEN FOR EXTRA POINTS!)! The guy just isn't accurate, PERIOD! Something else I've noticed: he sucks when kicking from the right hash mark. Like he said in the presser: he's kicked that kick many times, but how many has he made? That's the key!

3. Lee Evans was a bust. I didn't feel Ozzie was as aggressive this past offseason in getting a quality slot receiver after letting Housh & Stallworth walk & not bringing back Mason.

Lastly, thank you Ray for willing to give it one more try. Ed, we need you back too. I've watched this team from my home in Charlotte for a decade, and one thing has always been clear:

THIS TEAM IS TOO DAMN TALENTED NOT TO HAVE AT LEAST ONE MORE SUPER BOWL TITLE! HOW MANY TIMES MUST WE FALL VICTIM TO POLAMALU LEAPING OVER THE O-LINE, OR PEYTON PICKING US APART WITH HIS NO-HUDDLE, OR BRADY SOMEHOW ALWAYS GETTING LUCKY AT OUR OWN MISTAKES! AT THIS RATE, WE'RE BOUND TO GET TEBOWED SOMEWAY, SOMEHOW NEXT YEAR!

I have been reading these posts and there are a lot of good insights. So at least let me state the positives that I have observed.

1. Joe Flacco managed the ball well and earned respect.
2. This team has only gotten better each year in the past three.
3. The O-Line is young and becoming cohesive and a force.
4. If Ray and Ed continue to lead the defense, we can shut out the division next year.
5. Ozzie will manage the draft in top form and give us a team in the top 8 in the NFL

Yes I am upset by the loss, but I have never been more optimistic about the future of the Baltimore Ravens. I am proud of our team, and will remain a DIE HARD fan. WE WILL BE BACK
