Another chance is what we need for our unfortunate miscue, but it failed at easy 37yd FG from a probowler kicker 2010.

We might have lost - that's true. It wouldn't have hurt as bad, though, to lose by them kicking a field goal or scoring on us. I still think missing a chip shot is much worse. So, if Billy had made it and we lost in OT by them putting points up on us...that's all the difference.

That's where I'm at too, I don't give much stock the weak minded soccer players.... They're the most fragile of all players. Lee could have made that 4 th round pick worth the cost ... But alas, he blew it.

Well, he didnt but I think most of us think we had the Pats on the run. Most of us think we would have won if it goes to overtime. But it was no foregone conclusion that we would have. But the Ravens won every battle outside of the score. We had more yards, we caused more turnovers. I think the Ravens liked their chances in overtime. The D wasn't tired and the offense was moving the ball.

But Cundiff isn't in this loss alone. There were a lot of missed opportuinities. The big one for me outside of Evan's almost TD is 3 turnovers and 6 points.

If we got the ball back, Flacco would've been ecstatic and on fire. I think we win the game right there, touchdown to Lee Evans (akin Pittsburgh win).
If the Patriots got the ball back, Brady would've been dejected. But he's still Brady. He can beat you while he's down.
The latter I could see it ending in a field goal, then it's for Flacco to decide.

Also guys, don't make that "don't use what-if's, it is what it is" saying as if we have more games to play and to leave the past as is..
We're in the offseason now. We can make any speculation as much as we want to. Because guess what?
Reality is, we're 7-8 months away from seeing this team again. Sad as it is, it's true.

If Lee makes the catch we're all still in a state of ecstasy and we'd have the next two weeks where every second feels like a day.

Flacco would be hailed as "finally making it" after a spectacular showing, in Foxborough, outperforming Brady for the win. We'd have the opportunity to let Ray & Ed retire with a 2nd and 1st respective ring. We'd have the opportunity to give them the retirement party those first ballot Hall of Famers deserve. We would know we were 2 weeks and 1 game away from being the very best.

I'm not even watching the Super Bowl this year. Every year to this point I've been able to look at the teams and say "Yeah, they fought their way there and deserve to battle it out." This year? I see two exceptionally lucky teams that aren't the best. I'd say 9 games out of 10 the Giants would lose to the Saints and Packer. I'd say we'd at the very least split with the Pats 5/5 if we played 10 times. I'd say the Steelers'd do the same. Hell, even the Texans would likely split it 4/6.

For the first time I don't feel like the teams in the Super Bowl deserve to be there. I look at the match-up this year and think "It's better to be lucky than good."
