John And Jim Will Be Arguing Tonight...

31 posts in this topic

Wonder what the absenteeism at work will be tomorrow in Boston and New York.

John and Jim can compare notes on special teams effectiveness.

I think its easily far worse for Baltimore.

Nobody excepted anything from SF. But it was SB or bust for the Ravens.

The 9ers were at home, with only 3 losses and a facing wild card... That's pretty rough

They should play each other to see who gets 3rd place! Soccer does that why doesent the NFL? Like during Pro Bowl weekend?
I think they should, but I suppose they don't because its unnecesary risk of injury. It'd be great to see though.

I'm not saying its any easier to take, but the 9ers fans can still take solace in this being Jim's first year, and having a young talented team.

interestingly enough...peep these playoff similarities with the Harbs bros:

they BOTH won their division
they BOTH got a bye week
they BOTH won their division round
they BOTH lost the Championship game
they BOTH lost by a FG

They were getting the ball in OT when Williams fumbled the punt return. Both losses were heart breaking for both teams and their fans in the manner in which they lost it. You can say that they had such a great turn around this year but in a conference with the Saints and Packers there is no guarentee that you could come that close again anytime soon. Their schedule is going to be tougher next year.

Back before the merger, they used to do that in the old NFL.

Your Missing one:

Both took their teams to the AFC Championship game in their rookie seasons.

Which Harbaugh has better chance of making playoffs next season?
Jim... and that will always be like that until the NFC West actually improves and provides the 49ers with competition.

Though I do see both the Ravens & 49ers back into the playoffs next year so we'll just have to make New Orleans the sight of the first of many Super Harbaugh Bowls.

Ya know, I was kinda rooting against the Niners yesterday (not that I was rooting for the Giants... because that's disgusting). It'd just feel wrong that Jim gets a trip to the Superbowl before John.

Anyways, don't they both get a free trip to Hawaii? Coaching their respective conferences.

I don't know that it can get any more painful than what we just went through. The Niners made one mistake, and it cost them the chance to possibly win the game in OT. We had the win, it was there. We had the tie, it was a 30 yard field goal. Pure torment.

What a terrible Super Bowl matchup... has there ever been a case where the Super Bowl was played by two teams who backed into it the way the Giants and Patriots did?

Cept the Niners are in the NFC :)

But you're right, both led their teams to their respective conference championships as rookie coaches. :)

These losses will eat at both teams, for sure. I'm not going to try and comprehend which is worse.

I care so little about this SB. I probably won't even watch it.

I'll be cheering for the Giants but I refuse to watch.

Most likely I will not watch it but I definitely hope the Giants win.

I do NOT want Raymond Berry presenting the Lombardi to the likes of candy butt Tom Brady.

I cannot stomach a Giants vs Pats superbowl. I wont be giving them my viewship numbers that night.
I'm with you. I got an invite to a Superbowl party, but I'm ready to decline and go skiing with one of my friends who suffered a double heartbreak with those championship games.
