And Biscotti can say "Addition by subtraction."

I hope he does, but I don't think the man trusts himself completely on football decisions yet. If he did we would not have been putting up with Cam this season.

I know they downplay the tension between Joe and Cam but somehow, between all the disrespect he gets from the media and some fans around here, if they keep Cam, it might be the straw that broke the camels back. Flacco might go to greener pastures.

No I think last season he said, I want to hear what my head coach says, I don't want to usurp his authority. This year there are no excuses - as Boomer Esiason put it "the proof is in the performance."

Wow ... if you want a sobering moment, let your mind go worst case scenario on this and you get a team that goes from AFC Championship to imploding worse than the NY Jets. I have to believe our F.O. is far too smart to let it go the scorched earth path.

Man ... I can't even fathom going back on the QB carousel again, especially with where we are picking in the draft this year.

The other "excuse" I heard about not firing Cam last season was because with the uncertainty of the lockout, nobody was quite sure when we'd be playing, and they didn't want to risk bringing in a new offensive system without a full offseason to implement it. I don't know how true that is or isn't.

I'd certainly do it. It's pretty clear to me that Cam by himself hurt Flacco's game this season, and hurt his chances at earning a huge payday. Besides, if Cam really is such a control freak and never lets Joe play the way he wants to play, why would Joe stay when there are plenty of more creative offensive coordinators out there?

I think the only chance we have of getting a new OC for the Ravens is if Chuck Pagano wants Cameron to be the OC in Indy and Cameron agrees to it. Other than that, I think we are stuck with Cam for at least 1 more year. If this happens, it doesn't mean that Cam Cameron can't improve next season though. There's a chance.

"And with the first overall pick of the NFL draft, the Indianapolis Colts select; A neck Surgeon."

That has more chance of happening than what you said about Cam.

Just seems to me that Harbaugh doesn't want his authority challenged. Which is understandable seeing as he's the head coach. Cam isn't confrontation.. just go read about his time as Miami's HC and you'll see what I mean.

Apparently Pags and Harbs got into it on the sideline during the post season. Challenging our HC? Bye, bye. Enter Dean Pees, hand picked by Harbs just like Cam.

To be fair, it's not like offers to be a head coach come every day. Even if Pags and Harbs had a perfect relationship, the opportunity to be a HC and coach either Peyton Manning or the QB who's supposed to be the best prospect since Petyon Manning would be a big lure for me.

The way I see it is the offense is not very QB friendly especially in the passing game. The Go Route is a low percentage pass completion play and the out route is one of the hardest throws to make in football because you have to put it in a spot where only your WR can make a play--explains why Joe's % went down badly. Joe is forced to wait for long developing routes (i.e. holding onto the ball) and has to make tight throws to an inexperienced recieving corps who can't beat man coverage nor run the routes to open up coverages.

It ends up hurting him because he has been sacked 30+ times every four years he's started. It's almost like running the same offense as Mike Martz (which is way worse) because it can get your QB killed waiting for those long developing routes to develop and not having the right personell..

As Greg Cosell said--this is offense is from the 1960s and very predictable meaning the defense knows everything about your passing game and the QB is put in a tough spot to make perfect throws every time alongside not turning the ball over.

This.

His press conference after the first Steelers game: "They are who we thought they were! That's why we pummeled their sorry asses up and down the field all day! HOOORAH!"

I game for any OC besides cam, really we can be run/pass balanced or run a particular style offense that plays to our strong points to our RB,WR,QB. And mixing it up wont hurt either
