this may be so in your head, but statistically the steelers were better....

If somehow this team acquired a #1 WR, with its new coordinator (hopefully Hue) this offense is going to take off.
Totally agree. If we had a number 1 wideout with some good height that Joe could throw jump balls too our whole offense would come full circle. Torrie burning down the sideline taking a safety over top, Anquan tearing up the middle of the field. Ray Rice catching out of the back field. Deploy our Tight Ends ... Pair that with a new OC with a CREATIVE mind and our offense can be as good as any. Flacco has proved himself worthy, he needs a better scheme.

One thing about Arians - he's not dumb enough to give Ray Rice 5 carries.

Amen brother. Also, don't you think a #1 wide receiver is out there, watching this game thinking to themselves, "That team is "me" away from winning a Superbowl." (cough Vincent Jackson, cough Marques Colston) VJ has to be tired of losing and not making the playoffs in SD. People don't understand how much better a #1 would make Torrey and Q. If somehow this team acquired a #1 WR, with its new coordinator (hopefully Hue) this offense is going to take off.
I would love either VJax or Colston, or even Stevie Johnson if Buffalo doesn't resign him (can't imagine they won't). Could you imagine a receiving corps with Jackson/Colston/Johnson, Boldin, Evans, Smith, Doss, LaQuan, and then still being able to spend high picks on the offensive line in the draft?

Cam took us there?????? No, this teams pure talent did. Cam held us back from atleast 2 superbowls in the last 4 years
I agree. Same thing i say about Harbaugh by the way,, Guess you didn't get my sarcasm. I don't use those little cartoon faces.

Chip Kellys offense is almost entirely no huddle. It tires out defenses and makes it impossible for a substitution to happen for the D. He flattens the tires to the opposition

I'd rather it be "Flacco beats Cam Cameron with IHOP Menu playbook before shoving him out the door."
IHOP? Cmon his playbook isn't nowhere near that size. Try elementary school lunch selection pinboard playbook

Not unless Joe wants Cam back then he shouldn't be back. Personally I don't know about Jim Zorn as an OC. I don't think he has a track record as one; now as a QB, coach he's one of the best imo. If we can some how get him back, that would be awesome. Hue Jackson seems like the best candidate for our OC.

Oh it's that size alright, I just think he spends most of his time debating between the pancakes or the Belgian Waffle and not enough time focused on what the heck is going on in the game.

Love the idea of Hue, plus it seems very plausible

Another guy is Marc Trestman, his name has come up alot for getting a shot in the NFL as either a HC or OC. He is currently the HC for the Montreal Alouettes in the CFL and has made the Grey Cup three years in a row (maybe more), has consistently one of the best offenses, is very creative and has a good amount of NFL experience before his years in the CFL. I would absolutely love his name to be in the running for the position and he can make the jump for sure, ala Gruden in Cincy. I heard he was interviewed for the Indy HC job, so he clearly has some reputation in NFL circles.

In any case, I want someone Joe and the players trust and respect, and multiple reports have it that's far from the case with Spam.

I believe Trestman has worked with another quarterback out of Delaware, a guy named Rich Gannon. I'd like him here, he has a lot of experience as both an OC and a quarterback coach. But Gannon was a great fit for the WCO which I believe he ran in Oakland - a lot of people here are telling me Flacco wouldn't be a good fit for that style of offense.

Chip Kelly's not leaving Oregon to be an OC
Nope already saw that. Why would he, he's got a great gig and full control at Oregon.

You know, I'm glad you brought that up. I'm personally in favor of Hue, but I've seen the Alouettes play before and that team does have a pretty innovative but powerful offense. He seems to understand the concept of game flow and adjustment as well as any NFL OC.

Trestman would actually be a good candidate, esp since he has been an OC before but according to this article we can cross him off of the list of potential candidates

IF we want to get more consistent on O, we must let Cam go. No one in their right minds would hire the bufoon anyways, so he'll always be available if we ever get desperate lol. If we want an innovative offense, one that utilizes our skill players, and one that adjusts/plays to the gameflow, we must either hire Jackson or Sherman. No ifs, ands, or buts about it, this is something that must be done.

Actually it sounds like the Chiefs may be interested in Cam - more power to them, I say.

I can see why teams around the league might be interested in Cam. Perhaps a younger team that needs basic gameplan/playbook. Plus they see the number or wins he accumulated and think 'what the hell'.

Truthfully, I think Cam's okay at developing young quarterbacks if you don't give him full control. The truth is though Joe and this offense have outgrown Cam and his play-calling. Cam did his best work in 2008 and 2009 when Joe was young and running the ball was still priority number 1. If Joe had been healthy in 2009 we might have actually had a shot to beat the Colts, I think.

Where can I submit my resume'? I couldn't do any worse than what Cam did.
How good are you at Madden? If you say pretty good you can certainly do better than Cam did.

that website quoting another website saying that "Cam may be gone" is anything but practically official!

We can dream though

Lol, well I looked at that article with a really generous conclusion, how about that
