MERGED: Evans

142 posts in this topic

He's owed a $1 million roster bonus in March and his salary is $3.275 million next season. He's not going to get any better physically and with Doss and LaQuan in the fold, I think the team should cut him.

Not sure. I'd like to keep him because he is a decent receiver with big play potential. We don't really have any other proven receivers either. But, we wouldn't be lost without him. Maybe Laquan, Doss, and Reed will step up. I think Laquan potentially could provide what Evans can.

It could go either way for me.

I think you try and let him make the team in training camp and offseason. If others outplay him, then cut him. Otherwise, if he outplays guys in training camp, keep him. I, personally, feel like he can be money. drop TD catch or not today, speed guy opposite Torrey Smith and Boldin in the middle still looks good to me. We need a better o-line. That is what we need to concentrate on.

cut but for money reasons. wouldnt mind telling him we are going to cut him and we will give him 2 million guaranteed contract and see if he accepts. hes a great #3 WR. His injury just messed him up. The drop will not factor into this decision at all. I will say that I want him back. I just think grubbs is a better way to spend the 4 million

Cut.

Hes already cost us a 4th round pick and a SB appearance. Lets cut him before he can cost us anything else.

i really dont feel like talking about the offseason...im so sick over how we lost..next year Pittburgh will be better, Peyton Manning might be back, Texans, Patriots, Chargers, Packers, and Saints will be better....this was a long journey and for it to end like this?!? this was supposed to be our year because we had a older team...its a damn shame

This. Say what you want about Evans and his drop today, but he's pretty much the only receiver the Ravens have who can consistently get open. He just needs to be able to stay healthy.

Peyton Manning might be back

Ideal situation: Peyton comes to Baltimore; Flacco sits for a couple years learning from the greatest QB of this era; Flacco takes over after Peyton retires and wins a couple more SBs for this team. Pipe dream, of course. lol.

Keep Evans, he's an animal. Let Torrey learn fe him and let Doss learn from Q (If Doss is even. Factor towards out future)

Cut at his projected salary unless he renegotiates. NFL is all about earning your salary or you get cut..he knows the business.

Seriously?

I can't imagine having to watch Billy miss that in Foxborough.
