Agreed on everything except for the Bengals being the Bungles. They have given us problems in recent years, and are only getting better.
And they get two number ones this year and at least an additional #2 next year with that sweet deal from the idiots in Oakland.
Gifted the Patriots 3 points on a Webb PI call during which Welker ran IN TO him, the result of the play was a pick. That's not a pentalty on any level, unless you want to call offensive PI. Didn't even bother looking over a Lee Evans score which was 50/50. If that didn't count then they had to call PI on Sterling Moore when he mugged and rode Dennis Pitta around the 2 yard line. So, I can say, in a game that was called anywhere near what it should have been, we win either 23-20 or 27-20. Riveron is either biased or completely incompetent. Either way, I put it SQUARELY on him, which is why I never want to see him officiate another game.
That was one call, early in the game. Does it affect the game? Absolutely. But when it happens that early you have to play well enough to negate its impact.

#1 Cam will be fired and we can finally put in an adult offense that maximizes our talent.

#2 We now know, albiet the hard way, that Cundiff is not a clutch kicker.

#3 In 2012, Joe Flacco will unleash hell. See #1.

Might get negged but I don't care.

LEE EVANS. Yeah, he was on the recieving end of an ugly play that cost us the game, but he also proved today why Ozzie traded for him. Lee got involved and Joe started moving the ball. Without Cam in the picture, I'm confident Lee will become a game-changer next season.

Our Defense made Tommy look mortal and I dare ANYONE in the media to say Flacco looked skittish, scared or a game manager

I think Joe showed a lot in another big game this year. Gave the team an opportunity to win/ tie and the rest of the team could not get it done. One dropped ball away from a big upset. I hope this can quiet those down on Joe though since he did not win, I'm not sure it will. I'm glad we got over the hump, and look forward to dominating next year

This loss sucked. But dwelling on it does no good. So lets look forward.

Joe Flacco IS our Quarterback. He will lead us to multiple Superbowls. He has a lot of years ahead of him. Dennis Pitta, Ed Dixon, Ray Rice, Torrey Smith. All young, all here for a long time. Cam Cameron is leaving, and our offense should get a jumpstart with a competent Offensive Coordinator. Our secondary is young and talented. Ray Ray and Reed said they are staying. Suggs and Ngata have 5 years left atleast. Harbaugh is an excellent coach. Ozzie will continue to draft the right players.

Our competition is diminishing. The Bengals are still the Bungles, the Steelers are aging (Flacco is over the Steeler hump), and the Browns are the Browns. We will dominate this division for a LOOOOONG time.

Lets get excited guys. We are going to compete for years to come. This loss sucks, but we are built for the long haul.

Purple and black forever.
This probably bothered me more than anything. Reed needs his ring man. And Ray deserves his 2nd. I can't wait for some official word that Cam is not coming back. I am holding off my hope until that comes down.

As long as those 2 are returning, I might get over this a little faster and actually be able to watch the SB. I couldn't even put on the NFC game. Just couldn't do it.

At first I was ready to start throwng my furiture out windows, but then I calmed down, thought about the game, and reached an honest conclusion. We are the better team. The scoreboard doesn't say it, but I know it in my heart of hearts that we are the afc's best team this year. I mean Flacco out played Brady! Joe is a winner and he proved to the world he's good enough to win a SB. He threw the game winning pass in my eyes and I know Joe is the real deal now.

We still got plenty of youth. Torrey, Jimmy, McPhee, Kruger, and Cary Williams are only gonna get better from here on out. We have a bunch of great young players to build around. I honestly believe Ray and Ed will give it all they have left for one more season. Pagano is the coordinator of the year if you ask me. This team is Super Bowl caliber, it's a shame they didn't get to actually play in the big game but we all know how good this team is. I think we will honestly be better next year, no more cam, our young guys will only get better, we have a franchise QB, no more cam! We went 9-0 at home! The Wizard of Oz get's to work his magic again in the draft! Did I mention no more cam! This is a team that will compete in AFC Championships/SB's for years to come.

The future is bright, I know this was OUR year, but it's not our only year. We have have a lot to be happy about and a lot to look forward to! At the end of the day there is only one nation, #RavenNation.

A Big Thanks to all of you that post on here and make talking about our Ravens so much fun. It's bitter sweet but this is my team to the end, win or lose. Let's come back next year hungrier then ever!

Is Cam officially gone, or will he get an extension?? Because the offense actually did decently today for a change.

I mean WHO on planet earth watching that game DID NOT expect it to go into over time ?

Heart breaking no question about it.

But this game if any fits into the catagory of "it is what it is "

It sucks. yes. But it is what it is.

I agree. Just a suggestion btw Mods, merge this with the "Window is not closing" thread?

The only thing that bugs me is that if this team is to win a SB under Flacco/Harbaugh, it'll have to wait over a full year.

But as long as Ozzie keeps reloading this team with talent, we'll be in the running.

It's hard to find optimistic feelings after this loss, but I can't disagree with anything you said. We are building for a dynasty. We will be a dynasty. We are set up to be great for a number of years, and with this FO/Coaching staff minus Cam, we will be. This team will win a Superbowl.

I agree 100%! I loved this post.

(I agree with everything but the Cam thing :))

I feel the exact same way though, next year, we're getting a Superbowl!

All that stuff of who out played who doesn't matter when you're the team flying back home with a loss... The Patriots are now going to one of the best stagest the Superbowl. I will be annoyed over the loss and I won't feel better for awhile.

So yes this season is a "failure" since we didn't win the Super Bowl, but think about it this is probably the best team in the league, we played a very good game with the exception of 2 plays, our Defense has been rejuvenated for years to come, and we got over the Pittsburgh hump, so Im proud of our guys this year, and look forward to next year GO Ravens
I agree. However, the question becomes "will all of this transfer over to next season?"

only two positives came out of this --
our young players got crucial playoff experience and I saved $800 on a Ravens theme SB party.
Lol. I was ready to pull the trigger on $2700 SB tickets. My future thanks cundiff, my heart doesn't.

As always, KVV provided great perspective on the loss, the season, and the future in his "Five Things.." column.

Im ready to move on, it still sucks losing

but im ready to soldier on
Bro i completely feel you. It hit a little harder today but i felt a sense of optimism as well. We have a darn good team, and I really don't think we need to add another reciever to our team, Torrey, Q, and Lee will hold this team down. I have nothing but confidence in this team, we just need to find Ray's and Ed's replacements in this draft.
