Happy Though I'm Not Happy

Yeah, we lost. It'll definitely take me at least a couple of weeks and the passing of watching Patriots hopefully getting shutout in the Super Bowl, but when I think back at the season, it really wasn't that shabby. Look how far we've gone. We've wiped out the Steelers TWICE, one of them quite convincingly, which we haven't done in how long? Right now it aches, but hey, get em next year right?

Sunshine wouldn't be special without rain, joy wouldn't be special without pain and think of how much sweeter it's gonna be when we nail the Patriots next year without Cam Cameron!

Bottom line, be proud fellahs and fellahesses, we are NOT done in Baltimore.

i think some ppl dont realize how hard it is to get in that position to go to the superbowl. We were right there...dropped pass for the win and a fg missed for ot, i dont know what to say other than we did what we can, everyone played great other than cundiff. Hopefully joe gets his credit because he couldnt of done anything better

even after this tough loss...i am very proud to be a Ravens fan! we were not even suppose to make the AFCCG according to the media....but we did! we were not suppose to be able to handle the patriots 2 TEs...but we did! we were not suppose to go score for score with the patriots...but we did! and we were not suppose to beat the patriots...but we nearly did. hold on to the ball Lee....and that's game! make that FG Cundiff...and that's overtime!

all i can say is that Ravens players...you played one hell of a game and for that...YOU'VE DONE ME PROUD!! Have a safe flight home. stay encouraged! remember what beating the steelers 2xs, winning the AFC North Division, gaining the bye-week and playing in the AFCCG felt like and come back next season well rested and ready to finish the job you started today! peace!

Per Schefter's facebook.

Adam Schefter
Asked if he had played his last game with Baltimore, Ravens LB Ray Lewis said, "Absolutely not."

Ray Ray's crackin' skulls for one more year.

Oh we had a great season. When we started this year I expected it to be a rebuilding year. Half the team was new. My old Heap jersey was outdated. But we came back and creamed the Steelers. That game was pure fun to watch. Then we beat the Steelers a second time at home in the last seconds of the game?! And to make life sweeter we had the victorious Harbowl Thanksgiving game? Undefeated at home. Steelers practically killed themselves trying to keep up with us.

We get the first week bye. Defeat the Texans at home and are playing toe-to-toe with the Pats in the AFCC when everyone predicted us mince meat? Evans holds onto that TD and we are getting drunk with our happiness right now. I certainly never expected Cundiff to blow an easy field goal.

This loss is just so bitter to take because we were so close to having it all. Much closer than I ever expected back in Exhibition season. I'm glad Ray and Ed are sticking around. Let's keep this team together next year and see what we can do.

Only thing I think disappoints me the most is seeing the Pats getting into the SB. I'm hoping SF makes it to the game so I have someone to root for. If it's the Giants then I really don't even care about the SB. If I watch, it'll be for the commercials.
