Worst Loss In Team History?

78 posts in this topic

Another thing that made this the worst loss in Ravens history was Steven Tyler butchering the National Anthem. This was worse than Cee Lo Green butchering "Imagine" by The Beatles on New Years.

It's just the newest but not the worst to me.

The most painful is a tie between 2006 at home to the Colts and 2008 vs. the Steelers for me.

We should have won today but it wasn't like last year where we shot ourselves in the foot repeatedly to lose the game.

This loss is just fresh and so it seems like the worst.

It's gotta be considered one of the worst. I don't know if that's because it's still so fresh in our minds but right now it definitely feels like the worst

After watching the Giants and 49ers both struggle to score today, just thinking we would have played one of these beatable teams in this year's Super Bowl in Indy. Think about it! We could have won a Super Bowl in Indy. It would have been the dream of a lifetime, winning a Super Bowl in Indy. So this loss to me was worse, besides Green Bay got on fire last year when they won and would have been hard to beat. If the Patriots crush the Giants, how horrible will we feel then?

Yeah, the Colts playoff game in B-more was much worse... Pitt last year was especially bad too... this one is probably 3rd on my list.

Hensley said it best:

That's why this is the most devastating loss in the Ravens' 273-game existence. Nothing comes close. There have been other crushing blows, but the Ravens have never had a ticket to the Super Bowl taken away from them twice in the final 22 seconds of a game.

Heart-broken. Literally.

No.
I think last year against pitts-burgh hurt the most.

That friggin' poofey headed dork-a-saurus coming in UNBLOCKED for a strip.

I am getting ticked just thinking aout it.

Greg jennings made a similar catch like lee evans that got punched out and it was ruled a TD.

not gonna say the refs cheated us , but we did get jobbed..as in any questionable calls were gonna go against us most likely.

Unless anyone can explain, what is the technical reason for that not being aTD? He had control and both feet on the ground, did he not?

People need to stop saying it was the refs. It wasn't a TD, period.

Yeah, I don't understand what they're saying. That's precisely what makes it so absurdly painful, the fact that he caught it and had plenty of space to bring his second foot down, but didn't secure the ball. He had time to get both hands on it. I don't know how much to blame him, maybe it really was just a great defensive play. All I know is it makes me want to cry.

The Colts in 08 wasn't so bad because I knew we couldn't hang with them, the Steelers 08 game was the one that broke my heart.

This loss isn't really bad for me, I felt going into the final minutes that we didn't really deserve to win because they played better. We deserved to lose.
