Man, there were some questionable calls, and questionable non-calls although some of them bounced in our favor. That play wouldn't have been overturned for as some have said, the Megatron rule. Im tired of saying this every year but, maybe next season..
Why are people bringing that crap up? The Megatron rule is maintaining possession of the catch through going to the ground. That's completely irrelevant in this case.

HE CAUGHT THE F'ING BALL !!! HE CANT ADVANCE THE BALL ? WHERE'S HE GOING ?
guys dive across the plane and lose possession immediately nearly every game -

People clamoring for a TD call here are stretching a bit. It was NOT a TD. Should have been caught, but it was not!

Yeah, the ball is coming loose before his 2nd foot even comes down. Was a good call.

Yeah Pu go for it on 4th and 1or 2 i can see but 6 not punt or try the field goal the wind was at his back.
Time was too much of a factor though. One first down and we were cooked, too much to risk. Luckily we got that 3 and out despite going for it. I still stand by the call. Can't try a 50+ yarder and can't risk rely on the defense to pull out a 3 and out. Luckily we still had a chance to win the game.

Yep its over. Just imagine if that was a Patriot catch and they ruled it a TD. We would have been furious the opposite way. Fact of the matter, Evans should have secured the ball instead of getting ready to celebrate in his head.

lee evans only had one foot down then the ball was slapped out as soon as his second foot hit, almost simultaneously.....don't know what replay yall are looking at
I think Evans was half a step away from that being a TD. He caught the ball with one foot down, and that second foot was half a step from coming down when the ball got smacked away. In my mind, the play will forever be known as the "half step that kept the Ravens out of the Superbowl". It was the most heartbreaking thing I've ever experienced as a Ravens fan, but I hope Evans doesn't get cut because of that one play. I really, really like the group we have on offense right now, and with the right person making the calls, I think this offense can take it to the next level next season.

Here is an explanation from the NFL who say that it was reviewed and confirmed that it wasn't a catch.

They've replayed that play about a dozen times now in slow-mo on NFLN and I agree 100% with the officials. The ball was moving in his hands as the 2nd foot came down. All he had to do was secure it. But he loosened up like there was no one else around him. He's a veteran player ... he knows better. That's what makes it inexcusable to me. You've done this for 8 seasons now. Perfect throw .. perfect positioning ... and he didn't execute. It's a shame.

Think about it, the last two years the Ravens season has ended on dropped TDs

Boldin last year, Lee Evans this year

Joe Flacco should have NO CRITICS AT ALL, he just outplayed Tom Brady
I said the same thing. It seems like the only two Top 10-12 QBs who have to deal with so many dropped passes from their receivers year in and year out are Eli Manning and Joe Flacco. And Flacco's receivers have probably had more critical drops than all other QBs' receivers combined. Mason vs Pittsburgh 2 years ago dropped a go-ahead TD when the Ravens were chasing a wildcard spot. Clayton dropped a pass vs NE 2 years ago at the 5 yard line at the end of the game on 4th down with the Ravens down by 6. Then last year, it was Boldin and Houshmandzadeh dropping passes to end the Ravens season. It's crazy.

Rodgers' receivers drop 6 balls in one game and they blame them alone for a 17 point loss. We have like 3-4 drops per game. This is why we need Doss worked into the offense.

Quit crying about it being called incomplete. It was a very close call, but I happen to think it was called correctly. I'm not mad that it was called incomplete. I'm pissed because he caught the ball and turned to take a step. Why? You can't advance the ball any further! Catch it, put two arms around it, and fall. Epic fail on the shoulders of a veteran WR. This was a great game. One of the best officiating jobs I've seen in a while. Sure I didn't like a couple calls, but I'm sure they made (or missed) a couple that helped us out. The refs didn't lose this game, so please stop crying. What about the Boldin, Dickson, or Leach drop that would have extended drives? What about when Torrey gave up on a deep route cause he thought Flacco was gonna get sacked, only to be overthown by a yard or two? Why didn't we call a timeout on 3rd and 1 with the game on the line, if nothing else, to talk about our 3rd down play? A HB delay on 3rd and 3? I don't even put this on Cundiff. I put this on poor coaching and the WR's. Joe won this game today. He beat the almighty Brady. Let the haters hate. Once again, Joe led a late, game-winning touchdown drive using no-huddle and Shotgun. Unfortunately, he can't throw the ball AND catch it!

I'm proud of Joe. A lesser person and player would have lost their cool. He did everything in his power to win that game for us. The rest of the team just wasn't there for him when he needed them.

Those recievers need to get on the juggs machine and learn to catch the ball.

No TD, just another example of Joe being let down by his receivers... This kid out played the Golden Boy and people want to hammer him? Get real! This kid has it, and has proved it to me plenty. It's only a matter of time, his will come.

A terrible lapse on Lee's part. Had he stayed focused and tried to curl up or simply tightened his grip on the ball, Moore wouldn't have been able to knock it out.

It wasn't a catch. Probably should've been reviewed but it didn't matter. This was a real heartbreaker.

I have been replaying it over and over trying to see...

Seriously how this wasn't reviewed is just beyond me.

He catches the ball landing on his RIGHT foot.
Turns after securing it and takes a step with his LEFT foot.
Then as he's about to bring down his RIGHT foot for the second time, Moore slaps the ball out.

This would have been called a catch if we were playing any other team.

Of course I have a nagging feeling with the blown calls in the 49ers game today, that the NFL was just thinking a Giants-Pats rematch would be a better sell for ratings and rigged it all.

We were definitely robbed. They would have reviewed the play if it had been reversed.

Edit: Got the right and left mixed up lol

Wish he would have, the defender did make a good play though. It's forgivable.

Maybe if the ball fell to the ground with more force and he did a celebration dance afterwards it would have been ruled a TD.
