When the superbowl is on the line, u don't relax on the ball even if u have a sure TD ! It kills me, toughest lost in our history...
Precisely Right!!! Focus, play to the end, and don't even allow for a subjective call to made.

And NO, he did NOT catch the ball. Watch the replay again and be objective. By the time he possed the ball he made one solid step and almost a second step, but you can clearly see the ball starting to move before the tip of his cleat touches the ground.

Evans relaxed and Cundif choked.

I had a Vegas sportsbook ticket for the Ravens to win the AFC that would have netted me $800 DOLLARS if the Ravens win this game. Nice catch lee!!! another $1750 if they would have won the superbowl. I don't mind losing...but that way will take a longggg time to get over.

I said it in the game thread, lee caught the ball, turned his body, got two feet down, then the guy knocked it out... how did they not even review it???
I know he caught it feet down control ball until it was knocked out but I thought he held it long enough, they didnt review because it was called incomplete, and why did we go for it on 4th and 6 crazy. Condiff must go.

Evans shoulda held on to that and like Shannon Sharpe said you could see him relax after the catch as if he had the TD already. And that is why the defender knocked it out. The next play pitta jersey was physically pulled with no call woulda been nice!

it wasnt a TD. He let a practice squad player swat out the super bowl catch. I will say that cundiffs miss was worse but a pathetic drop from evans. I hope we dont bring in a veteran WR next year because he will drop the pass in the playoffs to help us advance.

Even if reviewed they probably weren't going to overturn it. Calvin Johnson rule.
wrong, that's only in effect when going to the ground. Lee get's 2 feet down and has posession before the strip. This is the worst screw job since the tuck rule. Pats are lucky bums

Going for it on 4th down was the right call. What else were we going to do? Let Cundiff try a 50+ yarder? Yeah right.

Reminds me of Mason doing the samething but Mason didnt have anyone to slap it out, he just dropped it.

Exactly. The missed 32 yarder is proof that the 4th down attempt was the right call.

Man, there were some questionable calls, and questionable non-calls although some of them bounced in our favor. That play wouldn't have been overturned for as some have said, the Megatron rule. Im tired of saying this every year but, maybe next season..

I think going for it on 4th and 6 was a good call, just the wrong play called. Should have rolled Joe out right, if no one is open let him run, He was successful picking up 5 other times on the same play.

I didn't really get a good look at it. Probably was the right call.. but man.. you gotta review something like that. It's the AFCC for crying out loud.

Harbaugh should have called a timeout and pushed for a review. If they kept showing replays they may have decided to take a closer look.

Think about it, the last two years the Ravens season has ended on dropped TDs

Boldin last year, Lee Evans this year

Joe Flacco should have NO CRITICS AT ALL, he just outplayed Tom Brady
Right? Even if it was reviewed it shouldn't have been overturned. Bottom line he should have secured it more tightly.

That really wasn't a drop. The defender knocked it out before he could secure it. Good defensive football. Sucks.

If Evans had both feet down, and made the turn he did (considered a football move) then It should be a TD. Contact was made after the catch and the 2 feet being down in the endzone.

Had he been engaged by the defender prior to having both feet down, or the ball caught then he would have to complete the act of a catch. Such as being taken to the ground during the action of making the catch.
