I said it in the game thread, lee caught the ball, turned his body, got two feet down, then the guy knocked it out... how did they not even review it???

Yeah Peter King said it should have been reviewed...... Lee needed to hold onto the ball though.... but still should have been reviewed.

Why didn't we challenge it is what I want to know, when it's at the twilight of the game. Very stupid.

It would've been an automatic review.

Everyone is being quiet. That was a TD catch and game won. One step down, turn, two step down, slap the ball. Possession in the EZ, TD! Guess they don't automtically review if a TD is not called(?). Harbaugh should have definitely challenged with still one TO.

It was under two minutes, all reviews come from the booth.....we couldn't challenge.

They can only review it when it's called a TD. That's the problem with the auto review they only review scores. This rule bit Detroit earlier this year and just cost our beloved Ravens a Superbowl opportunity.

Lee HAD the Touchdown.... I don't know why it wasn't reviewed. That should have been a TD, Ravens should be getting ready to head to Indy, not the Patriots!

Tough loss for Ravens fans. When you play the Patriots everything goes wrong. They are the luckiest team in sports history.

If it's worth anything it's easier to cope a loss in the AFCC then the Super Bowl. I've been through both.

Keep your head up fans.

True. But he did contribute to the loss. Joe made a great throw and Evans assumed he was good for a TD and allowed the easy strip. Evans had a chance to win us that game. Joe did his part.

The ball was knocked out before his 2nd foot was down. You can see Lee's face in the replay. It went from pure joy to anguish in a split second. The Ravens always seem to find the most gut wrenching way to lose these games.

Even if reviewed they probably weren't going to overturn it. Calvin Johnson rule.
[/quote]
Megatron rule was to have possession through the catch if you are tackled during the catch. Evans wasn't tackled and got two feet down with control of the ball. I think it was a missed call, but Evans should of held on to the ball like his life depended on it. So, most of my anger right now is aimed at Evans.

No, any play can be reviewed inside the 2:00 warning without using a challenge.

On another issue, I can remember two times when the receiver caught the ball and then had it knocked away in the endzone: one was Heap vs ATL last year, one was that Kyle Rudolf TD that he held over his head. Both ruled TDs.

Wasnt a catch. He didnt hold on long enough. If you have the ball in your hands and its the game winning catch to get to Indy. You bring that ball into your body and hold the hell on for dear life. No excuse, absolutely none!
