Obviously a failure.

The bright side is that the Flacco haters can shut up til the draft..

Your timing could not be worse. Another year down the drain.......Brady was horrible and we lose wow.

Failure..!! A draw play....Against that front four was the last play that should've been called! Should never had come to that ending. Bye Cam and please don't look back.

Anything short of a SB victory is a failure... it just is. Those terrible "let-down" losses against Jax, Sea, and Ten cost us the Home game today and probably a trip to Indy in the end.

To be so close, not only to overtime, but to a win stings. And to see Cundiff miss the way he did, maybe I'm in shock, but this one doesn't hurt nearly as much as the loss to Pitt last year. I had nightmares about 3rd and 18.

That all said, this season has to be considered a success. Our draft picks came up big, Webb has silenced the doubters he had at the beginning of the season and our defense can still play with the best of them. But perhaps more importantly we saw Joe grow up. Sure this was a down year numbers wise, but this guy is un-shake-able. Biggest comeback in Ravens history, last second TD at Pittsburgh for the second year in a row, and he was a drop away from pulling a Tom Brady on Tom Brady.

So yeah be mad, vent your anger; we deserve to be angry. Maybe the team, and Ray, is just angry enough to give it one more shot next year.

I love the Ravens. I'm proud of the way they battled today. And I'm excited for the future with Joe at the helm. But the season has been a failure in my book. Individual records fell, milestones were achieved, but this team's goal was nothing short of Super Bowl trophy. I just can't label the season a success with them falling short of that.

Yeah, lets us have the Pats at home next season. I want a piece of them. The anger should allow the veterans to stay. We should take the NFL by storm. Damn you Billy

not sure what you mean about my timing being bad. Just saying that at least we dont have to listen to people try to bash Flacco over a loss. As usual, his teammates on offense let him down.

I know a lot of people will want to blame Evans but the patriots db just made a great play stripping the ball. A patriots player did not however make a great play on billy cundiff's field goal. That was just pathetic and i am just in shock he couldn't even make a 32 yard field goal. We need a new kicker, oc, and more additions to our offensive line. not to mention what we'll need if ray and ed retire.

Failure. That seriously hurt.

Good thing is, we saw Joe grow right there and that Cam SHOULD be on his way on the door.

Total failure , win the division. , get first round bye , have the last play of the game to win or tie to go to the Super Bowl and don't do it . Reed , Lewis, cundiff, Evans , are probably all gone . Another thing Suggs and ngata were invisible .

Even falling short, I consider this season a success.

Yes, this loss will sting for a long, long time to come. I feel physically ill right now. I haven't felt this horrible about a loss in years, if not ever.

But this team accomplished more than we imagined at the start of the season. They finally began to play to their potential, albeit inconsistently. And most of all, they got over every single hurdle from years past except getting into the Super Bowl.

So let it hurt today, and tomorrow, and for the next few days. But be proud of what our team has done. Be proud of the effort they showed in the national spotlight. Above all, be proud that this team went toe-to-toe with an elite team like the Patriots and made them look human.

I wholeheartedly agree! How on earth can you call it a failure people?? One game away from the big one?? These guys played their hearts out. Yes we had 4 clunkers.. There are more teams that had more the 4.. RIGHT??
Love my Ravens.. Always!!

Big time failure. Anyone saying otherwise doesn't realize this isn't pee wee football where all the kids are winners. Time for an overhaul.

I'm not discrediting the Pats defense there. But to me, Evans already was celebrating in his head which made the strip easy.

I agree. I think the timing of the question is bad. Only 10 minutes after an emotional loss. Its not easy to win the Super Bowl. We were one secure catch away from going to the big game. Our Defense made Brady look pedesterian. Joe outplayed everybody on the field. And we fell short. Sometimes that's the way the cookie crumble.

Looking forward to re tooling and attacking next year. If we concentrate on fixing our Line, Joe can help lead us to a Super Bowl. We have young cbs who are stepping up.

Totally agree with you..
I just really hate the haters slamming the team.. They don't need the attack.. And how many times you hear them say they have the best fans in the NFL?? How about giving the same to them.. Be a true fan..

Success....12--4 record AFCN champs, undefeated at home...swept the division and swept the stillers plus we've got athletes, a FO and coaching staff that I know will get at it next year!

The Ravens have to draft some defensive players but at the same time add to that offense, they need to build this team around Joe Flacco

This is a QB league and Joe Flacco can be that dude for us

Bad timing. Right now this one stings, but overall I think the future of this team is bright. We've seen this season that 1) we have a quarterback that can get the job done 2) we have a young group of receivers/tight ends who's future is bright 3) there is an defense that will exist after Ray Lewis, although it will be a pale shadow of itself 4) we have a defensive coordinator that knows how to bring it and will only get better learning on the job. I'm sure there are other positives, but I'm so proud of what this team accomplished. It's ironic that drops are what I've been saying have plagued Flacco and the receivers all season, and a drop cost us this one big time. But this is football, one play changes everything. Congratulations Ravens, you had one heck of a season, and I look forward to an even better one next season.

Nothing short of failure. We've proved year in and year out that we can be a consistent contender to reach the Playoffs. In addition, we've proved that we can win the Postseason. We had a very good chance to get to the SuperBowl. This in no way means that I'm not proud of this team, but having to look at the extremely saddening photo of Ray Lewis on the home page, I personally don't see him accepting any moral victories.

I can't start a thread. This seems to be the most appropriate thread.

Great game. Too bad one team had to lose, and I hated to win that way. You should be proud of your team, and the Steelers should be VERY afraid for the next few years. Joe Flacco was the best QB on the field today. He proved himself to really to be "Joe Cool", though it didn't start well, That makes it even more impressive. Who would have thought that he'd be be the best QB in the game. Even more improbable is who would have thought Flacco would out play Brady and the Pats would win. Yet on the other hand, who would have thought that Flacco would have a career defining game, and ti would be the Pats DEFENSE that bailed out Brady, after 17 games where Brady was bailing out the defense.

In the next few years you will likely have several chances to get your revenge against the Pats, because Its hard to think you won't be in the playoffs. Well anyway I just want to congratulate your team for a great game. We were very fortunate

This was a successful year, come guys get real

1. We won the AFC North title for the first time in five years.
2. We wen 8-0 at home for the first time ever.
3. We went 6-0 in the division including beating those SQUEELERS TWICE!!
4. We had our first home playoff game in what five years?

Sure we wanted the superbowl, but we have a great team, a mostly great coaching staff and we have an owner who is dedicated to wining . Yes, this lose stings mostly because we had it in our grasp, but in a little over seven months we will try again and hopeful build on what the team has done, and the next time we are superbowl bound.

I think the success/failure label depends on what happens after the draft. If the team works to IMPROVE, then it's a success. If they're going to remain stagnant or get worse like the Saints probably will, then it's a failure.

Too much up in the air right now:
1. Who's going to be the next Offensive Coordinator?
2. Who will we get in the draft?
etc

This year more than last, I believe we had a special team. If we work to make next year better, then it will be a success.

Wait a minute.. Failure?

We had only 5 losses.
Swept the division.
Got to the AFC Championship.
Almost had #1 seed.
Undefeated at home. (9-0)

How is that a failure? There was only 2 things that could've added to that list to make it better.

-An AFC Championship
-Superbowl winners

Overall, this was an amazing season for these Baltimore Ravens. We have so much talent.
