TV Stuff That Made Me Smile This Week

4 posts in this topic

A lot of what the talking heads are saying this week is enough to make you throw a brick at your screen if you're a Ravens fan, but there were two things that made me smile.

1) Brian Billick picking the Ravens to beat the Pats. Coach ticked me off plenty when he was here, but he brought a championship to Baltimore and he has been a supporter of the Ravens even after he was let go. For the most part, he tells it like it is and I can appreciate that.

2) Almost every talking head talked about how the [s]49ers[/s]Patriots-Giants (was really the most interesting and the only watchable Superbowl around - and that was across the networks). Then they opened the question up to the fans across the country and they overwhelmingly chose 49ers-Ravens as the best game and the one they'd like to see. HA! I love the disconnect between the talking bobble heads and the people who actually watch the games.

You mean Championship game? Because 2 NFC teams playing in the Superbowl won't happen. And I'm sure fans want to see Harbowl Part 2 - the Neutral Site Showdown, so that's why they keep picking it.

Mistyped .. they were talking about the 49ers when I typed that and apparently my brain put it in. That should have said Patriots-Giants. They keep talking about the 2007 superbowl and how everyone wanted to see that rematch, Brady seeking revenge, and offensive and not a defensive game, etc. Fans went overwhelmingly the other way.
