Cam Coaching Brees And Rivers

In 2006 Phillip Rivers had a great season under Cam he threw 22 tds to 9 picks and 61 completion % and 3300 yards. The fallowing seasons except this year he just went H.A.M. In 04 Brees had a good season with 27 tds to 7 picks with 65 comp % and threw for barely 3200 yards. You guys know what happened when he went to New Orleans. I think you can have success in Cams system buy not throwing a lot of picks but also not throwing for many yards. But to get the full potential of a qb with Joe's talent we need a new OC.

Don't really disagree but were playing AFC championship game in 2 days. Lets stop complaining about who we have until the season is over and support everybody. Leave the bad energy behind.

As I have said before, Cam is not aweful. He is not the worst in the league. When he started with us a few years back he was dynamite.
Since then we have completely out grown him. He was just what we needed THEN. We have advanced beyond where he is effective.

He will find a good home some where next season.

You're forgetting quite a few things. For one thing, Rivers only spent 3 seasons under Cam Cameron Drew Brees wasn't drafted by Schottenheimer, but by Mike Riley. And Marty Schottenheimer was the head coach of both. They both HAD quarterback coaches, Cam was never both the offensive coordinator and quarterback coach for anyone except Joe Flacco. This is the crux of the issue, whether it is or is not a good idea for Cam Cameron to have full control over both the quarterback and the offense.

I agree. He's good at developing young quarterbacks, not good at coaching developed quarterbacks. Win or lose, I have a strong feeling Cam will be elsewhere next year.

Cam is good at giving those young players a structure, or framework to follow. But when those developing players are ready for the next level Cam kinda keeps em where he had them, sort of like a very disciplinarian sort of parent. Eventually you have to let them make their mistakes and grow.

Well look at where the QBs went and who stepped in as the OC. Brees went to New Orleans where Sean Peyton pretty much relies on the offense to score 40 points to win a game, so he actually schemes and trusts Brees to make plays. Rivers was paired up with Norv Turner who is a waaaay better OC of the same system as Cam. Rivers is also throwing to total beasts on offense that just win 1 on 1 matchups routinely. New Orleans scheme's alot of their guys open.

As if we don't know anything about Cam's history; why do you even start the thread bashing Cam when we are 2 days from the AFC championship and 2 weeks from the world championship?

We need to help Cam to win the last 2 games, not dissing him.

All Ravens fans need to stop complaining and give full support for the team to win.....
