I Heard Our Defensive Gameplan Is...

Hit Growkowski/Hernandez/Welker HARD. Show them the taste of Ravens football and truck these guys. We're not going to cheatriots stadium to play on their flag-football rules. We'll play legal, but no mercy when it comes to playing PHYSICAL!

As long as there is a Safety in the back, im fine with it. But we are going to have to play press coverage if we are blitzing and we havnt played press all yr, I always see our DBs playing atleast 10 yds off the line and alot of times i seen them play 13 and 14 yds off and still get beat, J.Smith.

That's right. The defense is letting out all their information right before game time. I doubt we will be blitzing 5 or 6 guys every down. Tom would smoke us. The happy medium is rushing four. Sometimes 3, sometimes 5 but mostly 4.

I do not want to see 3 pass rushers, i will be raging. Alot of the times when i see us only rush 3 , ill see a few linebackers no where near any Wr or TE. I think we should be rushing 5 on every down. Our CBs need to play bump and run, because Brady does alot of dink ,donk passes and i've seen some wr screens so that 10 to 15 yds off the line B.S isnt going to cut it in this game.

I will say our Tackling can be horrid at times, it wasn't very good in the Texans game. Alot of Y.A.C from Foster and a few others, they killed us on a couple of Screens and the PATS do like to do a lot of Screens themselves.

I am feeling confident going into this game , especially if our Defense get a few Turnovers. Our Offense needs to play to their capabilities and we won't have to worry about our Defense playing lights out.

Early on, I want to see Benard Pollard glaring into Brady's facemask giving him flashbacks!!! Never underestimate the value of the pschological game, lol ! After a couple of hard hits, I would love to see Brady start to hesitate because he is start thinking about hits, and curl into a ball like Dustin Keller everytime he looks at Ray!

I've seen this on NFl matchup.

I wouldn't be excited if this is the plan and it's rumored because Belicheck and Brady will be smiling like wow we don't even need our own spies, they tell they Plans themselves lol

With this strategy, every one of the DB's will have to be ready to rumble. They have to keep remembering that the Patriots receivers are not the fastest in the league and to expect the 'quick toss'. Brady said himself that his strategy against any man to man coverage is to complete passes anyway so that you will back up off this strategy. That leads me to conclude that man coverage is NOT what he prefers. But you have to have the personnel on defense to run this strategy (something the Steelers didn't have in years past).

Another thing, an opponents "long" time of possession throws Brady off just as much as putting pressure on him. If the Ravens win the coin toss, they should elect to receive the ball first. If they can pull off a long TOP on their 1st drive, Brady will have a difficult time getting into his game. The Steelers used this strategy, and Brady never really recovered. They would have only scored 10 points in that game if Ben hadn't thrown a pic (another thing the Ravens can't afford to do Sunday) and gave the Pats offense a 9 yd field. Brady only got 198 yds passing total in the game.

NE is simple really. Brady is a rhythm QB. You have to disrupt him. Pressure, pressure and more pressure.

Over 2700 of his yards came from YAC this season. They are going to make catches so we HAVE to tackle after the catch. No extra yards.

This is spot on. There is no way we can keep Gronk from catching passes. We need clean hard tackles. Pollard needs to hit him hard and stop him at the point of catch and not let him get these ridiculous YAC.

To me the biggest key is going to be getting pressure up the middle. We need to be able to collapse the pocket from the inside. Force Brady to move his feet east\west and he's less effective. If we allow him to step up in the pocket it's going to be a long day.

I think we got enough secondary depth and are good enough we can match up well with them

They havent had to play many top teams, the Ravens have..should be interesting
