AFC Championship - Baltimore Ravens At New England Patriots

3,199 posts in this topic

It is almost time for the endless chatter to cease and for the Ravens to show the Patriots and their fans one wild game. I am so proud that the Ravens are still one of four teams who are getting ready to play today. Go Ravens! Paint Gillette Stadium purple!

Alright so....just heard this little tidbit on ESPN. (no didn't catch which analyst it was)

"I'm going with the Patriots. I believe their DEFENSE will show up and win the game."

Wow. Talk about being disrespected.

C'mon Ravens!!!! Let's show these goons!

This game has a huge impact on Joe, Ed, and Ray's careers. Especially Joe, I can't remember a time when his name was so hot in the media. Every beat writer in the country has wrote a "Joe Flacco isn't good enough" article this week. Hope Joe rips the media a new one today. Hate to say it but this is Ed's last real chance at a SB, Hope our boys go out there and prove EVERYONE wrong!

I'd have more confidence in Joe FLacco if I knew his OL was going to play well and his receivers could beat their matchups

I think they can and they will, the Ravens should score enough that they can easily win this

unless they collapse and in that case Cam Cameron is finally done

We need Sizzle and Ngata to step up big-time this week.... Sizzle blowing up the edge and Ngata harassing Brady when he's forced to move up in the pocket. If we can do that, and control the ball on offense, we have a great chance to shock the world.

I actually slept pretty good. Gotta drive from State College back to MD right now. That'll occupy several hours before the game.

Woke up at 6 and went back to bed until 8 I tried to go back to bed, but I can't. Less than 6 hours I cannot wait. The two keys to winning this game are getting pressure on Brady all game. Don't let him get comfortable in the pocket. Chase him around and hit him hard on defense. The key for offense is execute. No dropped passes. Our O-Line can not let their guys beat them on 4-man rushes. Move the line in the run game and hold the line in the pass game. By the end of this game, I want the Patriots' bodies to be our colors (black and purple) and I want us to come out on top with that sweet W. I want us to rock every single one of their players when we're on Defense and I want Leach to punish them when we're on Offense. Lets go to Indy. Go Ravens!

I can't even watch the pregame hype right now. Too many of them are hating on the Ravens. A bright spot was listening to Billick and Sharp recalling how the Ravens kept it loose during the playoff drive at the end of the 2000 season. Billick said, "You lose when you think too much about the game." The only place I feel comfortable is right here with my fellow Ravens fans.

A big issue is going to be the play of the DL and the OL today. The DL guys have got to get pressure on Tom Brady, it doesnt matter how good our secondary is Brady will make you pay if you has time. If our OL can control their side our offense will have much more success and I think the passing game will open up.

Agreed. I think the OL play is the top issue. If we can control the clock and keep Joe clean for the most part then our chances improve a lot.

got my sports illustrated magazine and of course our defense is too old according to them! They used stats from our last game as proof and that we lose 27 to 17. Whatever sports illustrated! My parents are still in Boston and i guess the gronkowski spike is the signature thing there!

Im ready for this today! Go Ravens!!!!
Wearing my Billy Cundiff hat and the exact same outfit as last week! My ed reed jersey i got for christmas is undefeated!

You know what's making me a little nervous? The fact I'm not nervous in the least, lol. I am the most calm I've ever been on game day.

I think I just have an overwhelming confidence that we are leaving Foxboro with the W.

Go take what's rightfully our, boys!!!!

Isn't that weird? I have the same feeling. I feel like I already saw the outcome.

I hope Ray Lewis had a dream about us returning to Indy this year for the championship like he did the year we won the SuperBowl.

2nd post ever.I believe we beat a very good team last week. Came out very healthy.Game plan changes this week. We will sack the great one 5 times.Flacco throws for 280 yrds. and 2 touchdowns. Rice 120 yrds. and 2 touchdowns.Pats turn the ball over 3 times. Ravens 28,Pats 13.Everyone Have A Great Day, Joe
P.S. Not nervous at all. Very Strange?

They have to go out and play for 60 minutes, we can't slack off at all. This is our year, I feel it. The Patriots are the only team that stands between the Ravens and Indianapolis. We are going back into the Lion's Den and just like before, let's come out UNTOUCHED!

People put way too much stock into the last game we played. Houston came off their own blowout against an 8-8 team before playing us. Did that matter? The talk of the day isn't about a 3:00 game, it's about seeing a Patriots Giants rematch - if the Giants win.

We know why we're so relaxed. Half of the world has already written us off already.
