Rams To Host Wembley Game For Next 3 Years

9 posts in this topic

It's just been announced that the Rams will host the Wembley games for the next three years, starting with the Patriots (who've already played in London) on October 28.

From a Ravens standpoint, this means we're certainly not going to play in the UK in the next three years unless they decide to bring to reality the second game int he UK.

Thoughts?

Rams? Interesting pick. So they will be the "home" team for three years straight? Kinda sucks for thier fans. One less home game for that long. Meh.

If Europe ever gets a second game it will go to Germany
It was Germany who kept NFL Europe going and even now Germany and Austria have the best teams in Europe.
Lots of American football fans in Germany plus you have US servicemen and women stationed there.

Germany could sell out a game easily, over eight million people and on mainland Europe

Rams vs Patriots? That's a blowout right there. Maybe the NFL is scheduling the Rams in hopes of fans losing interest of going to the games thus Roger has an excuse when he stops sending games to London. I mean we all know Goodell won't pull the games from London so scheduling a horrible game could be part of a plan for Goodell to look smart pulling games from London due to "no interest."

True, sending the possible second game to mainland Europe would be fairer and probably a better idea from a revenue standpoint.

Yeah that's what I don't get, why send a bad team over there three years straight? Plus he keeps sending teams over that have already played (Bucs and Pats 2 appearances each in four seasons) so he isn't making the smartest decisions to keep fan interest high.

I almost certainly won't be going to it, unless the Ravens are on the bye that week.

Seems like there could be a battle on hand. The City of St. Louis has come out and said that the Rams can not play "home" games in London as the lease agreement says that they must play all of the Rams home games in St. Louis with the exception that the stadium is "not in useable condition or if the lease is terminated."

The Rams have not come out and said anything on this manner yet.

I feel bad for Rams fans.
If Biscotti did that I would be mad. I know he has talked about it but I hope he doesnt...Unless of course its an away game.

Absolute best scenario for me Internationally would be the Ravens as the away team in the Millennium Stadium! But a man can only dream. :P
