Video On Homepage

Can't view the front page video. Screen darkens and the skip/never show again options come up, but the video never plays.

Any known fix?

Might need to install an Adobe Flash plugin or what ravensdfan said.

When you're on the home page, try simply hitting the refresh button and see if that fixes it. If it doesn't, clear your Internet browser's cache and/or delete your cookies and you should definitely be able to view the video.

Sorry to bring this topic up, but I was wondering what feature does the web admin use for displaying a black background with opacity and the video being in the middle of the screen? is it something that can be coded with Javascript? or is it using Flash? I'm curious as to know because I'm taking a web development course at my school and need to develop a website. Thanks!

Hi rheebrosinc,
The feature that allows us to "dim the lights" on our site (darken the background while the video plays) is using Flash. We have also investigated and there are ways to achieve that effect using JavaScript, but the existing functionality on our site uses Flash.

Another question! lol

I saw that before the draft the background image of the website was different. It had the "Baltimore Ravens" text on the side of the main body of the website in a vertical orientation. I want to do something similar to my website, but how did you guys do that? Did you guys do it through photoshop? if not how was it and can it be done? Thanks!! :)

Yes, we changed our website's background image during the draft. Our background images are jpgs that were created using Photoshop.
