Did we watch the same preseason? Smith looked as bad as Boller. Being the best of the worst doesnt make, you the best option for the team. People are complaing about the passing game. If thats what we need to improve on, then thats not going to happen with Smith.

well you get off that kick, i thought you were about the same thing the rest of us were after. a winning season and supporting who can get it done. flacco is not getting it done so change it up and i will continue to say that smith didnt get his fair chance. and im sorry for the language its just stupid that some people can make there opions seem like there more important than others.

I do want to win. And I am not convinced that Smith gives us a better chance at it. And I think its stupid to call for a QB change during the middle of the season, when more then your QB is struggling.

If you think my opinion seems more important than yours then, I am sorry for you.

On Oct. 8, Harbaugh said to the media that "Troy is working full-speed ahead as a healthy quarterback this week, really for the first time"
Troy had his first real practice in a long time. To suggest he should start next week or anytime soon is reckless. We should have this discussion later on.

no im saying that you act like your opion is more important. and i understand you want to support flacco but a dual qb system would work better in our favor cuz they are both young.

Stay with Flacco. Work it out. Although if Joe keeps handing over the ball and not learning how to throw to his own players, he's going to be the one who gives the ball to Troy. I am a Flacco fan - Cam needs to run some other packages or something... I could predict what was going on during the game... just ugh. But Joe needs to throw to the right spot. He wants to make things happen and he's pissed/frustrated... He's got to speed himself up to slow the game down.

Playing musical QB's isn't useful, however.

Soooooo.....Now that you all have had the wool stripped away from your eyes (like a football from Flacco's hands) and are now seeing what others and myself have been seeing for the last several games, I will re-ask my question once again. (the same questioned that everyone criticized and hated on but still were so certain they knew the answer)

Does Joe Flacco give our team the BEST chance at winning?

Or am I still a "Biased Troy Lover" who knows nothing about football?
Manning Rookie Year:
326-575 or 56.7% completion
3739 yards or 6.5 yards per attempt
26 TD 28 INTS
QB Rat. 71.2
Record 3-13
Deserves repeating

I voted Flacco becuase I don't see us throwing in the towel on him, not now, not ever. He will learn just like Eli Manning did. Eli was questioned for a couple of years by the NY Giants faithful. Look at where he is now with a good fundamental football team around him.

Not that I don't like Troy, because I do. But he is not the answer -- he has less experience than Flacco now in the NFL!!!

What is needed is far better play as a TEAM, and as a WHOLE!!!

Possibly the greatest quarterback EVER, and thats his rookie year. He played at a College Powerhouse, and was bred for the league.

He struggled. So will Joe. We can't bench him. He almost tied Peyton's wins already. Wake up people get real. We have seen troy play. He isnt a mystery. Lets stick it out

I am glad someone else in this forum sees the Eli Manning analogy to Flacco.

Flacco will mature and improve as a QB, as will the whole TEAM mature and improve. It is not time to throw in the towel, just time to get back to the basics of fundamentally sound football.

This poll will happen ALL the time, IF troy comes in and loses games it will be the SAME poll yet again, Offense did bad yes.. But the defense was the ones who started the manslaghter. I'm blaming rex ryans same old scheme that dont work against good passing teams. that and Frank Walker.. the bad depth in the backfield is killing us again this year.

You know, I wonder how right you are about that. Some of these people here are Troy Smith fans first and Ravens fans second. I wonder if it were Smith playing, would they be calling for Flacco or even a healthy Boller the same that they are calling for Smith right now.

Yeah, that sucks...

Hopefully he takes us to 2-15 and throws 76 interceptions that way he can be twice as good as Peyton Manning.

Guess the logic is the more he struggles the better he will be...who knew? All this time we thought Boller was a bum...and to think all those years Boller struggled was him really preparing to go down as a legend and we blew it by drafting Flacco....Can you imagine how great Boller's going to be? Easily will go down in history as the best Qb to have ever lived. I mean 5-6? horrible struggling seasons...that's a gold mine. What ever team gets him next year will hit the jackpot.

What the hell were the Bengals thinking benching Carson Palmer for his rookie season...That guys a bum. Guess they didn't get the Manning memo.

I wonder too...
You see, if Troy was named starter and this same situation was playing out, I would be arguing the same exact points. Because again, it is about stability, organization, and consistency. Do we all forget that this has always been the problem? When is the last time we had a 16 game QB? Few and far between. In another thread I mentioned that we can't just flip flop and the bold statement of making Flacco the season starter. What does that say about us as an organization?
