Five seconds? lol... If our OL could do that, I guarantee we'd have the best offense in the league.

Its not hard too do against a pats defense. look what the lions were able to do for stafford when they bought him time and kept him upright.

Baltimore is just not the place for any QB.
I think regardless who our QB was, our fans would jump on him and complain about him regardless who it was. Hell I don't even think Tom Brady would be safe if he was our QB.

It's sad to see people on this forum sometimes behave like Philly fans. That's my biggest disappointment.

Yep, have to agree. Living in Philly, last year Michael Vick was like a Saint - he could do no wrong. Now, you mention his name to the wrong person, you're lucky if you don't get beaten up.

Very good read. Was nice to get some personal insights into what happened during Trent's career as well. What isn't so nice is that the same thing might be going on with Flacco.
I disagree this is an below average QB trying to get some respect for himself by using the ball controlled offense as his crutch to why his numbers sucked throughout his career. Flacco is way better than Dilfer, and they are not on the same level. Trent is and always will be, one of the worst QB's to ever win a Super Bowl. Flacco could never be in that discussion.

Trent Dilfer is horrible. Ball controlled offense? Lmao........these are excuses for why he sucked at Qb. Every year around this time when there is a chance a less than stellar QB will enter the SB, there will be references to the worst to ever win a bowl. e.g. (Trent Dilfer)

Thats why I cant stand him. He won a SB, not because of himself, but because of a strong D showing, and he thinks that suddenly he is the master of all things football.

I find it hard to believe that even with all the winning this team does that people are not behind this team. We are in the AFC Championship Game We are in the Playoffs for the FOURTH Year in a row. We are respected by every team in the NFL. We have alot of players that other Head Coaches have to gameplan around on both sides of the ball. We have a Quarterback that has won more games in his first Four years than any Quarterback in HISTORY. Trent Dilfer was treated terriable by the Ravens All he did for this town was win a Superbowl. Up to now our only Superbowl. All Joe Flacco has done for this town is put us in the playoffs for Four straight years. Lets be careful not to treat him like Dilfer. Get behind this team and Quarterback. There will be time later to nit pick the season

Yeah, I don't get it. I can understand folks that are not Ravens fans buying into the media BS, but the people that watch them week in and week out should have a better understanding of Joe's talents, and the constraints he has been under since Day 1.

Whatever happens in the next 3 weeks, and moving forward, I hope we form a deeper, more dangerous receiving corps and more consistent O line. And of course, an OC that knows how to utilize that talent. I'm confident Joe will shine and silence his critics.

This is exactly why I like Bill Belicheck who only gives non-answer answers to the media b/c you just can't win by talking to those vultures.

Everyone of those bland monotone post game interviews is him giving them a giant middle finger.

I agree, they can't twist anything he says because he is too smart for that. He has always guarded in what he says, you may not like it and it comes across that he has no personality, but the complete opposite is Rex Ryan who writes checks with his mouth that his team can't cash and the fallout from that is just not worth it.

The offensive line has been an issue, but the biggest problem by far are his quarterback coach and offensive coordinator - who happen to be the same person. He showed great growth and consistency under a proven quarterback coach in Jim Zorn last year. In four years the offensive schemes of Cam Cameron have always been inconsistent - some are brilliant, most are strange, and a lot have been downright putrid i.e. the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier in the season.

I look at 2 examples: Joe Flacco and Alex Smith. Last year when he was being tutored by Jim Zorn, Joe had the best season of his career. Zorn if nothing else is a very, very proven quarterback coach - he got Matt Hasslebeck to 3 probowls, and helped Charlie Batch when he was a rookie, Before Zorn Joe had Hue Jackson, who tutored Joe in 2008-2009. When Joe had 2 proven quarterback coaches, he succeeded quite well.

Now Alex Smith. Alex Smith's highest quarterback rating of his entire career before this season was 81. He'd never thrown for 3000 yards in a season, never had a completion percentage over 60 percent, never threw less than double digit interceptions in any full season, and had certainly never been to the postseason. Now, in a shortened season under a proven quarterback coach, former NFL quarterback Jim Harbaugh who tutored Andrew Luck at Stanford, all of a sudden out of the blue Alex Smith plays not only the best football of his career, but leads his team to the playoffs? Beats the New Orleans Saints led by Superbowl Champion Drew Brees in spectacular fashion? How did Alex Smith suddenly turn it on, if not for the coaching?

I'm a huge, huge believer that coaching plays a critical role in the development of all players, quarterbacks included. Cam Cameron has proven he cannot coach Joe Flacco - is it any coincidence that our inconsistent offensive coordinator is coaching a quarterback who for the first 3 years of his career was very consistent, and now is having the worst, mot inconsistent year of his career?
I really don't have much to add to this but just wanted to quote this for emphasis. I absolutely agree with you.
