As if we didn't already know these things, but now even outsiders are taking notice of our deficincies.
Here is what Cosell said about our offense:

"It's very easy to see why Joe Flacco doesn't have consistent success in this offense. He rarely has open recievers...look at his catches they were all one on one contested catches"

It's actually tougher on the receivers to get separation when the defenses can read "Football for Dummies" and know exactly what routes we'll be running.

You have to be unpredictable on offense, especially if you do not have a HOF QB. Just look at the Pats last week. By twelve snaps the Pats had Hernandez lined up in 4 different positions. It's harder to game plan when your being kept on your toes.

i remember when we did run the bunch formation. It translated into a 20 to 30 yard gain. That was week one when it seemed we were going to have the best offense in the NFL this year

Nah dude, everyone with a clue knows a quarterback is entirely responsible for all elements of a football game.
We should trade for tim tebow.

Tim Tebow? Vince Young would be better, "he has a winning record and has been to the playoffs". Or rather Clipboard Jesus. I'll start the Clipboard Jesus to Baltimore campaign right now. Who's with me?

on Game Plan the other day....Cam mentioned that his offense was..."old-school but effective" the emphasis' on "old-school" (1960s). lol!

JaMarcus would make a lot of people here happy. He's a threat to run with the ball and is a pretty decent athlete for his size.

So everybody knows how vanilla Cam Cameron's playcalling is except Cam and John Harbaugh. No news here.
This. It feels as though Harbs refuses to accept that Cam isn't doing a good job as much as Cam refuses to get away from his 10 tired plays.

To be fair. Harbs isn't going to be calling out Cam in the middle of the season (which I applaud him for). If we lose this game, it'll be interesting to see how the dominos fall.

Wow, didn't realize this: Lee Evans played 8 snaps. Not 8 targets, not 8 passing plays, 8 snaps on offense, period. I'm sorry I doubted you for not showing up in the game Lee. How could you show up if you weren't on the field?

I'm glad someone is finally calling them out, maybe now they will do something about it and we will finally get a real offense.

It's just a shame we had to waste Ray Lewis' and Ed Reed's best years.

I really, really, really hope you're right and Cam is the "Mad Hatter" of the NFL. But come on 8 snaps for Lee Evans? That's just insane.

If our offense was so predictable, there is no way on God's green earth that we would have finished 12-4 for the season.

i hope your right...we can score points if defenses know what we are doing all the time. Im worried we will go conservative against the patriots if we are leading or we wont be able to score because the dfence found out our only scheme.

The defense has carried this team and organization for years, if we had a middle of the pack defense this team would be 500 or below. Our offense is middle of the pack and since Cam wanted and felt it was best to let go of Jim Zorn as qb coach, Joe has regressed. I am sick of Cam Cameron talk about executing when he can't execute his own job, and find other ways to get people the ball. I have been saying this for a while now and its pretty obvious that Cam is the issue.

True, calling Cam out midseason would be a bad idea but I also feel that it is his duty as HC to just let Cam know quietly that he isn't doing a good job and he needs to improve.

One thing which I think I'm correct in saying is that Cam's contract is up after this season so it won't require such a big decision to just let him leave as opposed to firing him.

50/50 both. And I want to go 4 and 5 wide. What the heck did we draft Tandon Doss to do? Cover punts on special teams? Why can't we have Lee, Torrey, Q, Doss, and Laquan out there at the same time? Is it illegal? Did the NFL come over and say "Hey Ravens, if you put all your receivers out there your offense will be too, good, and we can't have the best offense and best defense in the NFL on one team, it's unfair"?

This will be our defining game. It has everything on the line for Joe and everyone else who touches the offense including the coaches. Can't get bigger than this.

I'm excited as this game will define what our offense is really about. We're not playing against a good defense and we know we have to keep scoring. If we cannot do this, then their needs to be serious changes in personnel and or players (I'll trust Ozzie and the others to make the right moves).

Cam will need to understand that we cannot afford to just "manage the game" if we're ahead as the Patriots are capable of coming back from even 3 TD deficits within a relatively short period of time. Do or die on this one. I'm pumped.

When you run a bunch of 9 routes with Torrey Smith he's bound to get open on some of them. Seriously though it's very predictable/simple, Brian Cushing said so himself. That's why this offense has made opposing defenses look like the 85 bears. Just think about all the times this team faces a respectable secondary, the receivers can't win on routes that often because the defense has a good idea of what routes they'll be running.

And from there it's a snowball effect, Flacco holds on to the ball longer hoping someone will present an opening, and as a result he'll take sacks and sometimes fumble. If you remember earlier in the year he was throwing the ball to covered receivers because he had no where else to go and the ball was being intercepted. So now instead of risking interceptions he's holding on to the ball longer hoping someone will get open.

Not if ray rice is on the field. that's 7 players so it's either 2 wide receivers and 2 tes or 3 wrs and 1 te. Our offense wasn't on the field a whole lot.
