[Blogs] Late For Work 1/18: Wow. Never Cross Suggs When It Comes To Joe

On the sideline Reed told Flacco to use his pump-fake, saying it would be effective. Reed be trying to give Flacco tips on being a better QB, now if Flacco dont listen to Reed (not saying he dont) what kind of QB do we have. The first person a Ravens QB should want to know everything about and study from (besides his receivers) is Ed Reed. Oh and Flacco pumped-fake the route he was throwing to which allow the safety to get to Lee Evans in time, he pumped-fake the a route running deep not a fake out or the opposite side of the field. Understand why Reed want you to be better because he see your faults as he do with other QB's. He's a damn film fanatic, C'mon man.

Ed should have more class and keep his opinions in house, not in the National Media. The Ravens need to focus on winning the AFC championship. Now time is wasted answering dumb questions. His statements have now taken on a life of their own. Unfortunately, this is how Ed Reed is. When he wants to talk, he says his mind. He has bad timing.

How funny is it that most of the quarterbacks that are considered elite by the media and "experts" are sitting at home watching Joe Flacco play in a championship game? There's no denying that our offense is not one of the best statistically, and Flacco hasn't had the best year of his career, yet here we are, in the playoffs for the fourth year in a row, and in another championship game. Let's give the man some slack. This is the same guy that started to lead a game winning drive in pittsburgh in the playoffs last year, only to have his receivers drop touchdown passes and fourth down passes. The same guy that took our offense 93 yards at heinz field a couple months ago to score the game winning touchdown. And even THEN his receivers dropped a couple passes. Flacco is a good quarterback, and Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees and Phillip Rivers and Ben Roethlisberger and Matt Ryan can enjoy watching him play this weekend from their couches at home.

Reed knows stadegy, dont you think all season he been voicing his opinion in house, obviously Reed expertise is being taken for granted. Otherwise he wouldn't have said what he said. Reed know better than anybody exactly where we are right now. He know a superbowl around the corner but he want to avoid disappointment again. Say it now before it's too late, not offseason, not after retirement but right now while it matters.

Everybody's thinking the game is going to be New England's offense vs.Baltimore's defense. The game is going to be one by Baltimore's offense dominating New England's defense. You have to give props where props are due.Flacco & Co. have battled some tough defenses and still owns a winning record. How many true tough defenses have New England beat?
heycuf: You're right on all counts but you missed one. Do you really think the refs are going to put their flags in their pockets for Brady? This is the Ravens vs. The Pats, Brady, Billacheat and the officials.

But just like in Pittsburgh, we have shown we can win. Go Ravens.

4 less dropped passes and Flaccos goes from zero to hero - our recievers need to catch balls that hit them in the hands, face and numbers. Example: is arron rodgers not an elite qb or did his recievers let him down.

Understand this...if the team is not the Steelers, the Giants, or the Patriots, the media is not going to show any love. And that's just how it is. We could win 3 SBs in a row and still get no love...that's why I don't give any credence to what these "experts" and "analysts" have to say. It's all noise pollution. Ravens need to focus on the task at hand!!! GO Ravens!!!

There is nothing wrong with what Reed said. It was all true. I can't see Flacco seeing anything wrong with it.

This is nothing more then the "haters" in the media trying to find an exploitation point on the Ravens.

Ravens should just focus on the Pats and that's all. What is it Harbs says during a hard count "ear muffs, ear muffs!".

Just go in there like Ravens and everything should be fine, WE ARE NOT THE BRONCOS! and they will soon find that out.

GO RAVENS!

I hate the fact that the media, including local media, are seemingly trying to create discord inside the raven's locker room. The negativity from all outlets is giving me an ulcer!!! This bashing hopefully makes the Ravens really angry and come together even more so, to go into NE and beat them Pats down!

the patriots are not use to being hit, when facing a similar D, they barely score 17 points...redding, pollard, and vonta, boldin, are hungry...all this talk about their TE's, we have 2 also, you better be able to tackle after the catch, because someone is getting punished.

Flacco needs to stay clean. He needs time to go through his reads and he will find the open receiver. The one glaring thing I noticed during the Texans game is that when Joe was on his back you would see Birk,Yanda,Oher for example standing up over him while there where 2 Texans laying on him. Our O-line needs to stay on there blocks. I would rather them be on there backs then Joe.

Wow... it continues to amaze me that even OUR so called fans still hate on Flacco... You are led by the media, and how they dont like outward passionless players.

Facts are 1st 4 years in the NFL, and Tom Brady and Flacco have the same stats... actually Flacco has a better TD to INT ratio. You people are why we get the name baltimorons, because we have morons who just let the media make our decisions... Look at all the other QB who are watching the playoffs from the couch...

Show some real fan support, and be glad we are still headed to the superbowl...

GO RAVENS!!!!

I am sooo tired of the unfair critcism Joe Flacco is given. For years the Ravens had (arguably) a better defence with other QBs and didn't even make the playoffs (except of course the SB year). Green Bay loses and all they talk about is how many drop passes his recievers had. Flacco should get that same respect because our receivers have dropped plenty! Almost everytime Flacco dropped back against the Texans, there was pressure and lots of it. If a ball hits the recievers hand, it should be a catch! This is the NFL, Boldin said it best, if there is one on one, throw it up, the receiver HAS to make a play on the ball. The way Boldin played against Arizona, our receivers should look like that every game. There is no wide-open! Yes, he makes his share of mistakes, throw the ball away, run a little more, etc. But Flacco is a good QB!

thats true...O line needs to be better...but i say it all the time, if the pocket folds and you got 8 yards in front of you ruuuunnnnnnnnn! to the sideline. keep them honest, that also with help a little to get the WR's a little space, because the LB's will have to come up. were gonna get this done!

The pats have allowed 29 plays this year of 80 yards or more....Rice is gonna have fun Sunday
29 plays of EIGHTY yards or more? I think that 80 is not the right number...

If you listen to the whole statement, Ed Reed states a simple truism "... we all have to step up our game!" He knows and we should know that going into Gillette Stadium is going to be War.

I hope Ed and the gang check out film of them to see what Brady might use to try and beat the RAVENS then take those options away!
