People were still wishy-washy on Eli until this year. And when he screws up, he still gets crucified. Those fans and media types up there are extremely brutal.

The conference went really well in that there will be no news to come out of it. Flacco handled the situation well; heck, everyone did. No bulletin board material, nothing given away. That's how you handle those conferences.

Will be interested to see him on there tonight.

When I heard all this talk about Ed Reed's comments, I thought they must've been pretty brutal considering the way ESPN made it sound. However, after listening to the clip I don't see what the big deal is. He said that the Texans loaded the box, pressued Flacco and "rattled him".

Must be a slow news week in sports, because they are really digging.

The big deal is Flacco took on the media a bit last week. He made a joke, but media hounds (like that nut who wrote for that Texas paper) hate being told that they don't get it right. Flacco called them out saying that they call him a game manager and that he has nothing to do with winning and everything to do with losing, and basically said they're wrong. Now they're grasping at straws trying to dig up dirt on Flacco - naturally Ed's comments can somewhat be construed as a critique on Flacco's play, so they take the five words out of 50 that reflect negatively on Flacco and blow those up and out of proportion. It's how the media always is and has been - you push them, they try to push back harder. And even though Flacco was basically making a joke about himself, last week, that "according to you" bit at the end, those 3 words, really bothered the media types, IMO. None of it matters - in the end, the game will be played on the field, and it seems like Flacco and Reed talked about it and it's all cool. This is a strong locker room, and I think they'll all be fine. The media can keep yapping right up until we punch our ticket to the Superbowl.

That IT, the media like to stir up stories...Ed Reed's comments were nothing. It happens when Ed thinks Joe is capable of much more...but at the same time the Texans defense is on another level compared to the Patriots defense.

The only part I got before it ended was that Joe was home trying to ride a skateboard, and one of his neighbors called Ozzie's secretary to try to get Joe to stop and how they are trying to win a SB and he is out riding a skateboard. That was funny that one of his neighbors actually called the Castle about that lol.
