Patriots Fans Meaner Than Steeler Fans

37 posts in this topic

I just trolled one of the PATRIOTS forums and if you thought the STEALER forums were bad, they dont have anything on the PATS fans. They are soooo full of it and think we are scrubs because of the game today. And of course they are talking crap about Flacco, LOL, did anyone that isnt a RAVENS fan actually watch the game and see why Flacco's numbers werent that great.

Oh and here is the Kicker, we played the best Defense that is left in the AFC (aside from ourselves), do they not understand that their Defense is not very good. They must feel like they are really good, lol.

Come on Pats Fans, your Team just played the DENVER BRONCOS and you guys think your that great. Get off you high horse. NEW FLASH Pats fans, WE ARE NOT THE BRONCOS !!!!!!, what so ever, and glad that we arnt. You guys lost to the STEALERS and BILLS. I dont know who is going to win this AFC CHAMPIONSHIP but i dont think its going to be an easy win for either side.

Don't go to teams like the Steelers and Patriots expecting intelligent trash-talking. Most of their fans don't understand football because those are the bandwagon teams.

I have family up there who are Pats fans and they are very cool and respectful and realistic. That said even they will admit they are in the minority.

I wouldn't go to the boards of the Patriots, Steelers, Saints, Packers, Colts, or Giants. After teams win Superbowls you get a whole bunch of bandwagoners that think because they used to live 10 miles from a guy who's sister lives in that city, they are a fan. It's sad, but most of those guys don't know what they're talking about. I mean they forget that last year when they had a better defense we had a 10 point lead on them in the 4th quarter? But it's cool. They, and the rest of the media, should keep talking about our "crappy Flacco" and how suddenly the Patriots' newly found great defense will shut us down while Tom Brady passes all over "old" Ray Lewis and Ed Reed and "Mush Mouth" Terrell Suggs does nothing.

Flacco should have a real good game throwing the ball on them, they are ranked 1st or 2nd in giving up the deep ball. (passes that are 25 yds or more)

We shouldn't have a problem if our OLINE show up. Texans game was horrid, it looked like the O linemen didnt know who to block so they didn't block anyone. It was mostly the Right side that gave out first. They need to put Wilson , our 3rd T.E that is actually a blocking T.E to the right and strictly block (He caught the T.D pass today), especially if we are trying to throw deep, Flacco shouldn't have to worry about getting hit, sacked, so he can only focus on putting the football on the money, which he has been doing all yr.

They are horrible! So rude and cocky. I CANNOT WAIT till we shut them up, omg
I hope your right, me personally, im not feeling too confident honestly. Our Offense has to play better than what we did against the TEXANS, im hoping it was because of how good their Defense was. But i think our Offense cant do any worse, they can but it would be pretty hard if you ask me,lol.

Anyways , if our O LINE fixes the B.S and our WRers actually catch the gimme balls. We should be right into the think of things.

Im trying to keep my expectations down so i don't RAGE if we dont make it to the big game. It would be nice if we were playing at home though.

ON A SIDE NOTE - You could definitely tell we had a bye week, we just looked so out of sync, im hoping that was the problem. If not , we are in trouble.

I also have family up there who are Pats fans and I love them to death -- but my family's not in that minority, unfortunately, when it comes to being respectful or cool about things... -_-

So yes, I'll have to be the stoic and calm one of our clan and allow my team to do the talking. Who knows? Karma might be in my favor. :)

Perk, let me just say this, bro. I worked at Shoppers over the summer on night shift, stocking the shelves (crap job, but someone had to do it) and my Supervisor was a guy I went to high school with. He dropped out of high school. Do you know who his team is? The Patriots. You know what his argument was against our Ravens? "You guys are all about field goals." That was his argument. Two-finger golf clap.

I don't need to go to other teams' boards to see trolls. We've got enough of our own right here!

And I am already getting good-natured grief from all my friends in Massachusetts. They're part of the minority Pats fans...the cool, respectful ones. :)

That is absolutely true. I hope they don't take us serious up in Foxborough. Things may have played out to our advantage this weekend. I just hope Ed Reed is OK.

They were thinking the same thing in 09..... We aren't intimidated by them. Remember , it's the same crew that goes to a Redsox game but makes sure to wash their brand new hats and shirts a dozen times... Just to get that weathered and worn look.... They're a trendy team to root for...

So long as <deleted> Cam, tries to use our strengths against their weaknesses we should be okay. But I am not holding my breath.

I have found that to be the opposite...Most Pats fans i have encountered are very respectful and knowledgable and they know their team is "Championship caliber" plus they do not go flashing their Super Bowl rings like some other team's fans do and you can actually have an intellegent conversation with a Patriots fan.

I've met maybe two that I would say were knowledgable of the game. I don't think they've been mean, more like annoyingly arrogant without the ability to tell you anything more about their team than "Have you seen Brady play?" They are the same fans who are part of the Red Sox Nation (you know, the nation that most true, long suffering Red Sox fans aren't a part of). The same fans who, amazingly, are also Celtics fans after that little run that the New England/Boston area made at championships. Of course, you never saw a Boston or NE hat, banner, poster, t-shirt or bobblehead anywhere near them before that ... probably just a coincidence.

Personally, I think NE and the arrogance is just what the Ravens need. We're already 9 point underdogs. That's going to tick the Ravens off and make them feel disrespected. We all know how the Ravens play when they feel disrespected (ask the 49ers if you aren't sure). The Texans fans I've talked to this week have been cool guys, I liked them. I don't expect a repeat of that experience.

The Ravens already feel disrespected thanks to media outlets like ESPN and the fact that Brady is their poster child will make it a lot worse as the week goes on. Also with a New Jersey team "New York if you prefer" will just kick the Ravens to the bottom of the media coverage...probably a good thing!

Thats a good thing, i hope we are the underdogs which we clearly are. We played a really good Defense, so hopefully that will help us going into N.E.

Please WRers show up and do what you get paid to do, If i was FLACCO, i d start getting on them bad, before i dont think Flacco could because he was making mistakes just as much. But that has changed, i think he has earned the right to get on his WR and teammates now. Flacco , time to take charge. Nuff Said.

I worked with a Pats fan who relocated back to Boston about a year ago, he and I were always very respectful of one another when our teams would meet up. All that's left is my Russian friend who is a big Packers fan, I had to do some consoling today; and all those Bengals & Colts fans.

Days like these, I miss Bob (the Pats fan), Zach (Chargers), Charles (Raiders) and Brodie (Saints). I may send Bob an email, wish him & his team luck.

I think only the Patriots have more bandwagon fans than the Steelers. Boston fans in general are a fairweather bunch. They dont support their teams until they are good and then they are delusional about how good their teams are, kind of pathetic really.
