Flacco Stats?
Had the offensive line done their job and the WR's got separation, Flacco would have had a field day. Just sayin'.
So what else is new...

I wonder what Flacco would look like if he had Eli's OL and WR

QB ratings are another rating that makes no sense lol. Got to hand it to the QB. He didnt give the game away.
He and the receivers also scored more than half our points, and he didn't turn it over once against a top-3 passing defense, playing the one cornerback who has gotten him the most over the years and who took away Torrey Smith the whole game. So if it's not qb rating you care about, and it's not that ESPN garbage, how can you say it's not the best game Flacco's ever played in the playoffs? 5 drops by receivers, but he threw no interceptions and beat a very good defense. I was completely impressed, given the way his season has gone. This is by far his best game in the playoffs, ever. Last year at Arrowhead was impressive too, but the Chiefs were only the 10th ranked passing D - Flacco's played those teams all his career, it was a cakewalk for him. This team beat the crap out of him both times they played, and the last time they met Flacco was very indecisive with the ball and forced too many passes. Today the same thing, they sacked him a ton and hit him a ton, but he stood there and delivered the ball on point every time. Was it all time postseason great, no, but it was, in my opinion, the flat out best game Joe has ever played in the postseason, period.

Wow, I thought total QBR normally gives a good overall impression of QB performance, but 18.2 for Joe's game is kind of inexplicable. Considering the pressure and the drops I think Joe played a very good game. He didnt turn it over once and really didnt even throw that many bad balls. He gets 0 credit for throwing 2 TDs? I think someone at ESPN is toying with the numbers.

Oh yeah, and TJ Yates has a better rating (33.9) despite throwing 3 picks and 0 TDs...what a joke.
When you look at QBR, you need to realize it's more than just the 4 or 5 things that the passer rating looks at.

What knocked Joe's QBR down was, comparing to Yates, that he took 5 sacks (which really hurt in the QBR) compared to 0 for Yates; his ACT Play stat was almost half of Yates' (ACT Plays are pretty much any non-handoff play) meaning that Yates was more involved in the game (by stat) and Yates was playing from behind the whole game so his Clutch Index stat was higher meaning everything he did was weighted more.

Wonder what he'd do with Atlanta's O-line, Roddy White, Julio Jones, and Tony Gonzales, who went from being the GOAT to a "washed up has been" this year, in spite of the fact that he had a better year all across the board.

I commented on this during the Baltimore Sun live chat. It was making me sick to look at Flacco wearing a sweatband on his wrist while Tim Tebow has a play band on his. That's inexcusable.

See now that's just stupid. It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Not a single sack on Joe today was because he held the ball too long, and like three of them it felt like the defender got there before the snap even happened. That QBR is a complete joke. How is a sack a quarterback's fault if he's on the ground before he's even finished dropping back?

But what I'm trying to say is I think, given the circumstances and the pressure I'm sure he felt with all of the criticism, it was his best postseason start EVER.

You won't get any argument from me. The QBR is almost as flawed as the passer rating.

I think that Joe will have a his best game against the Pats next week. That D is just terrible. Bolden and the TEs (btw does anyone esle think Pitta should start) esp should have a great game.Pats LBs are awful in pass coverage

I think almost everyone but Cam Cameron thinks Pitta should start. A) he has the better hands, and not only is a tight end supposed to be a safety net, with the way our receivers seem to be afraid of catching balls this year, the more guys with good hands we have on the field the better. B. The only argument that I've heard for Dickson is that he's "faster", which according to the combine numbers they're actually both about even. C) Pitta and Flacco are like best friends, and not only that, they seem to have a great chemistry thing going on. D) I think Pitta is actually the better blocker, so even if we're in a running play he's probably the best guy out there. I heard someone say that by the numbers both have seen about the same amount of snaps, but Pitta should be getting more. There was a thread about it over a month ago.

You know, Joe was pretty darn good today. Not even for the stats he got with the OL playing horribly, or the caliber of the Texans D--but because he was CONTENT to stay calm and didn't force a single throw. Every single throw he made was either catchable or comfortably away. I didn't feel like there were any that stopped our breath.

He has a lower completion percentage partially because of drops, but also because of this fact: Joe isn't a gunslinger. He makes generally wise decisions with the ball and doesn't force what isn't there.

I agree that you can't compare Joe to Aaron Rodgers yet, but if you watched that game, trust me--it wasn't the same Rodgers. This is the first time in a LONG time that he got some serious pressure. And you know what? He looked awfully human. He was rattled, made some ill-advised throws, and was extremely pedestrian. Credit to the Giants, who executed a perfect gameplan, but for those who truly believe that it's all a QB and the line's importance is overstated: see the Green Bay Packers at "unimpregnable" Lambeau Field this evening.
Your right, he looked like Flacco, that should say alot shouldn't it, but it doesnt to the media. They are just blind to the fact. No one mentions Flacco getting sacked in this game or getting Sacked and knocked around in the games that we lost , EXAMPLE - JAGS game.

Yea that was pretty cool. Bradshaw said that Flacco silenced his critics today. I am very doubtful thats true though. I expect another heavy dose of 'Joe Sucks' on our local radio station this week.

Yea deion sanders was talking crap about Flacco, man , let me tell you how bad i'm RAGING right now because of him putting Flacco down. I'm so mad, i plan on making a Video just for Sanders and make him look stupid. I'm going to make it while im making the TEXANS playoff montage.

I went to take a look at the released stats and realised that I think the QBR rating they came up with for Yates is an average based on last week. They show him at a -1 Sack EPA when he wasn't sacked today and 61 ACT Plays (don't know why I didn't catch that before). He only threw 35 times today. To get a 30.9 combined QBR after getting a 58.0 in the wild card game, he'd have to have had a 3.8 QBR this game.

Deion is complaining? Uh, doesn't he seem to forget that the quarterback he won a Superbowl or two with, a guy named Troy Aikman, has a career quarterback rating of 80, and finished under 60 percent completion percentage 6 times in his career, despite throwing to a hall of fame wide receiver named Michael Irvin?

True, Deion likes to laugh and joke, but if you read into his comments and stuff, it's pretty obvious he's pretty full of himself. I mean, it's not like he had three of the greatest quarterbacks of all time and two of the top 10 receivers of all time (including numero uno), to help him out.

Dude we really do get treated like a ugly red headed step child, they even try and knock on our Defense saying " oh the defense is old", Mean while they are still talking about the STEALERS, hey NEWS FLASH !!!! This just in, Stealers got knocked out of the play offs by TIM TEBOW. Oh yea and im pretty sure they are the old ones, we have nothing but Great Vets and new up and coming Stars.

I think Wilson (pretty sure thats his name) is the Better blocker of the 3 ( the one, that caught the TD today) He is our BLOCKING TE , while ED.Dickson and Pitta ( The Express ) are our Catching T.E.s

The main thing is he did not turn the ball over.
I would say the main thing is he made plays that helped win the game. I respect the heck out of Dilfer, but we can't win a championship with a guy like that anymore. We need a guy like Joe who has the ability to do what he did to the Steelers in week 1. He might not always be consistent, but this year we just need him to be great 2 more times.
