Webb Deserves Some Love Too

He played great. He is becoming a guy you just can't throw at. And here I was saying that he could be moved to Safety. Not that he wasn't good enough at CB but he needs to stay where he is. He was awesome today and pretty much the whole year. He is becoming shutdown status. The question I have for everyone is if he is the guy to put on Welker. I think we have to take away Welker and the middle of the field. I think we have to slow Gronk down and no yards after catch. But do you put Webb on Welker or leave him outside? If not Webb then who do you put on him?

Yes, Webb is the only one that can match up AT all with Welker. Our other corners are too big, and dont move in space as well.

Webb is definitely the man to put on Welker. Cary and Jimmy are too long and would struggle keeping up with Wes on his quick outs and crossing patterns.

Can Webb play as well covering the slot? starting corners sometimes struggle without the sideline.

Great game by the way, Dre had a lot of yards but had no TD's and gave up two picks.

Webb was the man .. that whole defense once again bailed the offense out. They bent, but they didn't break. 1 TD, 2 FGs, 3 INTs (could have been 5). Love those guys.

me too!

that is why we criticize them for what we "perceive" as piss-poor gameplay from them. we know this team! we know they are better than how they play (at times) on the field. but, i am a ravens fan for life! they are my team and i love these boys! now go beat the patriots in route to the superbowl!

Yes and by the way, Webb should have been in the Pro Bowl. No one even talks about him getting snubbed. But next year we have to get his votes up if he plays like this year again.

I remember Texans fans laughing at us saying Webb is as about as they come at CB this year. 2 INTs. Played AJ tough. Read routes perfectly. Another game ball goes to him. Outside Lewis and Reed, Webb was the other defender who really stood out.

I'm thinking BP or BA on Gronk and JImmy/Zibby on Hernandez. Realistically we probably have to bracket Gronkowski a good bit.

Luckily we are pretty good at stopping opposing TEs. This year we've limited guys like Vernon Davis, Antonio Gates, Dustin Keller, Dallas Clark and Owen Daniels.

So if anybody can do it, the Ravens stand a great shot.

Family heard me talking about Webb way back when the season first got rolling. They gave me a blackout Webb jersey in October for my birthday. I thought, new Nike jerseys coming soon, low profile defender, no long term contract, should have went with something else. But I'm not sure I've ever enjoyed wearing a jersey as much as I did Webb's today.

Webb is a shut down CB and no one knows it outside of MD, he has better stats than REVIS.
