O Line
Now i hate Cam Cameron dont get me wrong, and he wasnt great today, but had some good moments aswell. Recievers dropped balls, flacco played well, missed on one or two he should have hit..

But we got killed at the LOS every play. No holes for rice or williams, flacco was under pressure every pass, he was sacked a career high 5 times, he was hit on numerous more plays, and avoided a couple of sacks on top of that. It wasnt even heavy blitzing, just beating our men one on one. Yanda looks hurt or else just had a bad game, Oher was domianted all day by Watt, although he beat yanda once.

Play calling didnt help, more screens on first down slowing the linemen down, no wr screens, no quick routes until the last 5 mins in the 4th qtr.. The oline could have been helped yes, but 4th and short at the EZ, 3rd and inches in the last minute and you cant move the pile?

I duno what happened
they may not, but NYG and San Fran do... i would rather have Green Bay if the Oline keeps playing like this.

Provided we make it that is

Would help if we didn't wait until 3rd and 20 to throw a screen. I think today may have actually been Cam's worst game ever. He squandered so many chances with some of the dumbest play calls I have ever seen. He sees what works in the beginning, and then does the exact opposite for the rest of the game. Makes it tough on the O-line when we do nothing to prevent them from blitzing every down.

Defense played absolutely amazing.

The O line looked like they went on VACATION during the BYE and forgot to come back. It was either the Right side not blocking or the Left side or just the whole line. But it was mainly the Right side, they need to keep our 3rd TE in on the right side. Wilson i think it is, the guy that caught the TD pass. He is bigger than Dickson or Pitta and he can block better. He is a blocking TE, pitta and dickson are catching TE. There are TE in the league that can do both but usually for a TE, they usually only have one strong suit.

Man, they played horrible. Mainly the right side of the line. Good thing the Pats don't have nearly as good of a d-line as houston.

The blocking (or lack of) was horrendous today. It seemed like everyone was getting beat at one point. Houston has a talented front seven, sure, but that was abysmal.

This. The predictability really hurts the offensive line. I think today's game was an anomaly, but Cam had something to do with it. Yeah, the OL played bad, but no one was open. They were running down field. The run plays were poorly called. We barely ran off tackle or outside. Birk couldn't move a soul inside. As a whole pass protection was bad. My man Yanda got beat twice today. But that second sacks wasn't completely his fault. Oher was god awful. McKinnie was terrible.

people forget that was an awesome defense we were playing and we put up 17points, not pretty but ill take it any day. now going to NE we have to put more points up on a weaker defense on every aspect, very possible. It wasnt pretty but look at it this way- whats it like when we play pittsburg...just like it was today. Houston turned around their defensive attitude, rough and physical, like us...so be happy what we did today....to an extent

Some of the plays were pretty bad but i for one cant put all the blame on. It was either our O line messing up or it was the WRers dropping gimmie balls, i know the Ball Flacco threw to Dickson was a super laser but he still should have caught it. For the most part , Flacco was looking down the field the whole time , even in serious pressure.

The o-line didn't bother playing today. They can't possibly have played any worse than this. There's no way they play this bad in New England.

Can't disagree with you on the drops. Flacco threw some great passes in tight coverage that were just plain dropped. Announcers talking about how Flacco was 2 for 8 in the beginning was making me upset as there were already 4 dropped passes at that point.

New England has nothing that can be mentioned in the same sentence with Houston's front 7, JJoe, and Hou's Oline. Lets go!
I am saying there is great substance to this. New England is softer on the d-line and can be pushed around in our running game. We should then run play action to help convert long sustained TD drives. This is how we would win, instill physical dominance and keep Brady off the field.

And Suggs usually plays good against Tom Brady, he holds a grudge similar to Roethlisburgher so it really motivates him.

Honestly, I don't think Cam let the offense get into a rhythm. The deep shots, the drops, the predcitability, it got us off rhythm. The OL actually got off to a pretty good start until Cam started doing his thing.

Yeah, we won and we'll take the victory, but some of what happened in Jacksonville and Seattle creeped its way into the game.

Under three minutes to go, we are already in FG range, and the Texans show they are going to burn their time out; so Cam Cameron dials up two passes. He's got to go. The GM needs to take the decision out of Harbs hands in the off season.

Our O line got throttled. I give the Texans credit as a young, talented D, but twice you can't convert with less than a yard AND you give up five sacks? The only good news is the Patriots D is weaker, so I expect a much better performance.

Our D line didn't fare much better. Nagta's name was called once on the fumble he created. Everyone else was nowhere to be found. Suggs, Johnson, Cody, etc. were MIA. Hats off to the secondary, arguably the weakest aspect of our D, and the two veterans Reed and Lewis.

Again, we won and I guess that's all that matters, but we can't play like this next week.

Funny, the one slant he called worked beautifully. And he never called it again.

TRUTH! I cannot take another season of watching the offense go backwards!

BTW - Is this what happens when you send Cam to "scout" agame? <Deleted>

Oher was pathetic, but even Yanda got blown up a few times. JJ Watt is a beast, and he was my favorite player in last year's draft, but that was ridiculous. I hope that was just an off game for Yanda, but at this point I expect that kind of inadequacy from Oher.

Fortunately NE doesn't have anywhere near the same talent and explosiveness.

Only this time, Flacco was ready for it. Could you imagine what he'd look like if he had protection?

Yep. Like I said before, I have a feeling that if we lose in New England, it will not be on the offense. Well, 2 things may kill us - Red Zone offense and the defense being picked apart by Brady.

Why? Cause he didn't get a sack? He actually did a great job containing Foster on his side and tackled him on third down on 2 occassions. He was also the only one getting close to Yates.

Have to give Houston D a lot of credit because they have a furious pass rush and front seven.

5 sacks is bad no doubt but it evens out with no turnovers and penalties. Andre Carter went out for NE earlier in the season and he was their best pass rusher so the OL should have a much better chance against them.

I know right?! It's awful. I know that I only played high school ball, and that discredits me in some way, but I can speak from experience that I hate when the play calling is off rhythm. When the playcaller keeps calling passes, and the same pathetic runs over and over again, there is no rhythm. When Cam keeps calling those deep shots, it pissed me off. You need to mix it up to help the offensive line out, especially against such a great front seven. But Cam is a failure of an offensive coordinator.

That had to be the WORST O-line in NFL. I dont remember a SINGLE time where Flacco wasnt closed in and pressured. Oher & Yanda (right) were a COMPLETE and UTTER Joke today. McKinnie was also a complete joke.

Lets be real honest. If our O-line gets dominated by PATRIOTS DEFENSE, its really time to do a COMPLETE SWEEP. That includes the O-line coach. Pathethic PATHETHIC performance by the O-line.

Maybe on par, our Receiver (Ed Dickson, Torrey Smith, Pitta) were a joke today. I think the only player that consistently had some credibility was Anquan Bolding to be in playoff mode. If i remember right each of them had ONE reception per game. All three of them, for the whole 60 minutes. I will ask you this, can we honestly win with performance like that from our receivers? Even if our defense plays LIGHTS OUT?

Joe Flacco of course, was a joke today. If he can't get something going, at least fire up the offense while on bench and communicate with your receivers. He just sat there snotting his boogers out in bench and just sat quietly the whole game. 3rd & out EIGHT TIMES TODAY. At least keep something, ANYTHING going to keep the defense on rest just for ONE MINUTE.

If it wasnt for the turnovers today, we would've lost.

GET A FRESH START, AND GET OUT OF THE GUTTER OFFENSE. AFC CHAMPIONSHIPO TIME. LETS GO!

I just talked to a friend of mine who is a Titans fan. His response?

"Houston's D makes everyone's OL look like that. We have one of the best OLs in the league and they shredded us. I wouldn't think too much of it."

The Pats will not get anything close to that amount of pressure. But it was frightening as the game went on. Their defense is something to be reckoned with.
