I hope people are watching Eli play. That could be Flacco in a few seasons. He's already better than Eli was in his fourth season.

You see the time Eli had? It was unbelievable.

Defense wins championships! Im glad Packers and Saints are out...Im really rooting for the 49ers next week because I dont believe the Ravens match up good with the Giants...at all.
Seriously my most feared team to play

Ridiculous - I could imagine what Flacco would look like if he had the time THIS season. And I might add, if anyone saw Drew Brees play, Flacco is also better than Brees was in his fourth season. Conveniently, his 5th season is when Sean Peyton got a hold of him. I'm sure Jerry regrets not making HIM the head coach of the Cowboys.

Eli won the Super Bowl in his third season , Flacco will most likely never be on his level

It would be nice if this point could gather some traction. Joe has so many Ravens fans who just won't give him much credit for anything.

Well Tom Coughlin is going to get another contract extension most likely. I never understand why people think Coughlin can't coach, it's obvious he can.

Well considering how Rodgers turned out and how Alex Smith turned out, who would have thought we be saying Alex Smith led his team further in the playoffs than Rodgers.

I'm with you. Coughlin is an old school, no BS coach. He is the exact opposite of Rex Ryan imo. Players may not LOVE the guy, but they respect him and play hard for him.

Up until this year Eli has been bashed by the media and his own fans. He had a huge amount of turnovers for many years. It's only this year that he's been considered elite (remember to start the season how he was ridiculed for putting himself in that category?). Before this year it looked like Flacco had Eli beat already. But the Giants have some incredible receivers, most notably Victor Cruz, who can go up for a jump ball and win it most of the time. Joe's never had that kind of guy.

We're looking at rematch city for the SB.

Patriots/Giants = Rematch of SBXLII
Ravens/Giants = Rematch of SBXXV
Ravens/49ers = Harbaugh Bowl Part II

Only Patriots/49ers isn't a rematch, but even that is Tom Brady vs. his childhood team.

Lots of intriguing storylines.

Boldin is that guy. He may not be as fast as Cruz, but Boldin will go up for it.

Eli was in the SB his FOURTH season, and in his 4th year he was even more inconsistent than Flacco is now. But you tried.

Not really. He struggles to get open and can catch well, but he can't flat-out go over a guy and win regardless of whether he is covered on a consistent basis. If he can, then we are hugely mis-using Anquan. Which wouldn't surprise me.

We rarely see situations where he has too. Cam seems to send Boldin on streak routes more than slants or stuff over the middle. So generally it's just a matter of Boldin catching up to the pass rather than fighting the DB for it.

Not surprised that Giants and 49ers won this weekend. I actually were feeling both those teams. The two favorites in the NFC that we were scared of (Saints and Packers) are out! I was even scared of facing the Saints because of the Super Bowl being inside the dome this year. I hate domes. Time to knock out the AFC favorite now.

So how bout the actualy game instead of turning this into an off-topic post? It was clear Rodgers and his receivers were not on the same page at all. Dropped pass after dropped pass. Giants D looked great. The Packers D was non-existent and embarrassed.

Man it would be something... Peyton Manning out for the whole year and Eli comes to his home turf in Indianapolis and wins a Super Bowl, that would be interesting.

My sister is a Packers fan so I had to pretend to cheer for them, but I really wanted NY to win because honestly, I would rather play the Giants if we make it to the SB.
