Tailgating Question: Arrival Time

What is a "good" time to arrive to tailgate - drink a few beers, eat some food, walk around - like 9am?

For those with experience, any insight helpful. I've been to like 10 games, but never been early and tailgated.

We do breakfast, and snacks leading up until game time . We start at 9:30.

Stadium lots open 4 hrs prior to a home game. We are getting there about 10, but all my food is already hot. I put everything in those pyrex portables and crock pots.
