All I'm saying is you have to get better QB play than what we are seeing from Flacco, rookie or not!Vince Young, Tarvarious Jackson, they were benched b/c they were playing terrible and I'm not seeing any difference from Flacco than from them!
Vince Young got hurt and his backup came in and played better. And the difference is there was a proven vet behind each of them. Kerry Collins had taken his team to the Superbowl at one point. What proven vet do we have on our bench? Todd Bauman has started what 6 games in his career. And I still stand by my stance that pulling a rookie for another guy who is also essentially a rookie makes no sense.

Because the colts got to start inside our 40 yard line.

So, our offense constantly being against their own goal line is their fault?

Getting 3 first downs in the first half is.

Ive been roaming the boards for a while but Ive decided to join today. Been a Ravens fan ever since we were established.

Today was a horrible game but we have to understand thats there are two teams out there on the field. To me, going on, The Colts had a lot to prove to themselves. Critics and analysis saying they can't stop the run, their offensive line is banged up. Plus they haven't won at home all. From the jump, they had more energy and it showed throughout the game.

While the offense get's alot of gripes from fans (including myself), I think the defense should get some blame. Mostly our secondary. I think the best players today in our secondary were Reed and Leonard. CMac guessed too much and that hurt us big time. I remember one play where Marvin Harrison just hit him with a slant route in the end zone and CMac didn'teven like go after him. It was almost zero effort. Ivy and Walker, well.. the game showed. Manning knows what he's doing folks and he knew to exploit both Walker and Ivy. One cause Walker isn't that good in man to man coverage and Ivy's size just makes it a mismatch. It was a game of mismatches for the secondary and The Colts won. Not just with our secondary, our whole mindset on the pass is becoming more more evident. We send too many guys inside the get the quaterback (where to me, they over do it, to the point that they put so much effort on shedding the blocker that they lose rhythm of getting to the quaterback i.e Bart Scott had a clear lane to get Manning but the effort getting to him was stopped not by the blocker, part of it was the blocker, but the rhythm cause he overpersued.) and this leaves the middle and secondary open for dunk passes or routes in the middle and we have to do a better job of swarming to the ball. The Colts astonished me on how many people swarmed to the ball. My girlfriend said that wasn't needed but it was.

I also have a problem with our tackling. We go for the big hits too much and not for the tackle. I'm tired of seeing someone lower their shoulder and hit the opposing team.

Special Teams needs serious work. Special Teams helps the offense, offense helps the defense and when you're starting on your 20 yard line and getting no type of yards, it's gonna be a long game.

Flacco is learning the growing pains. I still don't think he is reading the whole field. He made some costly mistakes but thats what you expect from a rookie quaterback. If Smith was in there, I would expect the same mistakes because honestly, he is still a rookie to me. Both quaterbacks have different qualities about their game but right now, it's Flacco's job. He has shown some good passes and in case you didn't see, there was one play where he audible out of the shotgun into a run play where we got some positive yards so he's showing you that he's learning the game.

Offensive Line is suprising me so far. It was a decent game but overall, they are doing pretty good from last year. Our play calling NEEDs to be more aggressive. Flacco can make the throws but it needs to be more early on the game. We tried today but it was an interception. Then we tried to slow the game down and run the ball which the Colts knew we were trying to do. We should have stayed with that aggressive mindset and get ourselves out of our field position.

I don't consider games to be a benchmark for how we are for the rest of the season but this game is a wake up call not for the players but for us fans. We are going to have some bumps and bruises cause right now, I don't know if you know, we have a rookie coach and quaterback. This is our first year in this offense and even though offense always sucked so we are starting from ground zero. You can draw comparisons with the Flacon's cause they are in the same situation but they are being aggressive with their playcalling. Matt Ryan 30 times for 301 yards and 1 touchdown. Plus they ran the ball 29 times. Ryan and Flacco are two different quaterback's but I know for a fact, we can be a aggressive.

Stop being conservative and start mixing thing's up cause in the end, it's gonna hurt us.

No. It is the fault of our special teams who killed us today. I thought Harbaugh was a special teams guru???
maybe we just ran into a buzzsaw today...they are the colts for goodness sakes
And they were desperate to get a win in their new stadium.

Lets just be glad this was a away game, not a home game... There definitely would have been a lot of boos today if it was a home game. We don't want a Vince Young, who can't handle the boos and criticism.
