Wow.. Drew Brees has such a fast release when he throws. It's amazing how fast he got the ball out of his hands before he could have been sacked. I really am wondering why the 49ers deferred and allow the Saints on the field first. The thing they needed was to win the toss and get the ball first and try to keep Brees off the field as much as possible.

That's exactly what the 49ers needed. But by the looks of things, they are going to struggle stopping the Saints from moving the ball.

That was blatant PI and Graham still almost caught that pass. That dude is impressive.

Agreed. Pretty unbelievable. He's the Calvin Johnson of TEs.

Helmet to Helmet, no?
he made a football move, ie two steps in this case, so is now a runner... he cannont return after that hit, he was knocked out the min he was hit, he just dropped like he was shot

Let's see how these "great" NFC offenses do when they have to face a real defense.
Exactly. I think with the plethora of defensive talent coming out in the last couple drafts and even in this Draft, I think we could see a change eventually coming where Defenses will rule the NFL again. I really hope that is the case.

Right now the 49ers need to control the ball and try to milk the clock for as much as possible right now to keep Brees on the bench.

On top of that knockout shot he also came down straight on his head , there isn't way he should be able to return

Saints guy hit Alex smith helmet to helmet no call , so far the refs are swallowing their whistles in regard to the saints play.

Those hits are the worse. Smith had no idea what was coming.
he should have had an idea, it was pretty clear, there was an overload on that side, but he still turned his back and held the ball, just get it out

They shouldn't have abandon the run so early
I don't think they are abandoning the run. They are just trying to keep the Saints D honest to start the game. Get some passing in , have it open up some holes as the game progresses.
