I think he's referring to this:

FCC says Comcast should put NFL Network in digital cable lineup
Associated Press

Updated: October 11, 2008, 2:23 AM ET
WASHINGTON -- The Federal Communications Commission has sided with the National Football League in a long-running programming dispute with Comcast Corp.

The FCC says Comcast should carry the league's NFL Network on its popular digital cable package.

The commission ruled that Comcast discriminated against the NFL Network by agreeing to carry the channel only on a more expensive sports cable service. The NFL filed the complaint against Comcast in May.

The FCC ruling now goes before an administrative law judge, who could force Comcast to carry the NFL programming at a certain price.

Comcast has argued that consumers will have to pay more for programming many may not want if the company is forced to include the NFL Network in its regular digital cable package.

Is it really only $2 more a month?

Comcast=Failure... If available in your area, switch to Verizon FiOS which is immensely better for less or the same...

FIOS customer service is the worst. if you guys thought it couldnt get worse that comcast, you're wrong. i've been trying to switch the to fios for at least a year. they keep rescheduling, losing your information, and dropping calls. its really sad because they're the ones who could make a profit by getting me to switch, why do they make it so hard? so i figure they dont deserve my buisness. but actual comcast service like their internet blows, but i have no choice.

do you guys know WHEN we will be able to watch nfl network for free?

I have an antenna, which means in February, I won't even have a t.v. Fortunately, the bar up the street has Sunday Ticket.

I also have the NFL Network on Comcast. My guess is they will raise the $1.99 monthly fee if they lose this round.

FIOS install process sucks but I like that I only have to deal with one inept bureaucratic corporation nightmare rather then two.

FIOS customer service is truly awful, but does seem to be slowly improving. DirecTv has the best customer service of all of the major providers. I can't believe how responsive they are and how proactive. They sent me a new receiver just because the one I had MIGHT go bad. They came out and installed a new dish just because the new one is better than the old one, even though I had no problems with the old one. And that was just in the last couple of months. They are always nice on the phone and their website is truly helpful. FIOS website (excuse me) sucks.

Oh, and NFL Sunday Ticket/Superfan ROCKS.

I'll give you that the customer service is pretty awful, but the picture is the best and the price is excellent... and I don't lose my picture if it's too cloudy, stormy, or windy either :)

Yaaay! The government is telling a "PRIVATE" company how to run its business. Why don't they just tell them that the players and coaches have to play and coach for free so everyone can go to a game for free?

Are we still in America? Good Grief
