The negative you got on this thread I guess are from Raven fans that did not watch the game. And yes Flacco was horrible.

Oh so it was Flacco that dropped 5 well-thrown passes (5 passes officially logged as "dropped passes"... if they'd been caught, then you're talking about over 70% completion percentage for Flacco in this game! And yes, FIVE is a huge number of drops for one game. Think about it, the Ravens were 7th in the NFL for dropped passes with 31. That's less than 2 per game average, and they were one of the worst offenders for dropped passes during this season, so 5 in one game is really bad.

Secondly, how is Flacco supposed to get a passing game going when his offensive line is more porous than ever before, he was getting pressured like crazy for the entire game, and his team contributed an amazing (::sarcasm::) 2.8 yards per carry from the running game.

Yeah, Flacco was "horrible" it was all his fault, not the offensive line, not the play calling, not the running game, not his receivers... It was all Flacco!!!

Hello Ravens,

Just wanted to drop by and say Congratulations on your victory today. While I truly believe that we outplayed you defensively and with our run game the fact remains that you came out on top. You have always had a great defense and you showed, once again, why you continue to reach the playoffs each year. We, the Texans nation, are glad that we reached the playoffs and count it an honor to have been able to face off against such a worthy opponent. Do not get too comfortable though, we will be back next season (hopefully with an improved offense)!

Again, Congratulations on your victory! I hope you dismantle Tom Brady and the Patriots.

ESPN had it at five.
Nice. And he still finished 14/27. So his effective completion percentage was over 60 percent.

Miles better. But when we're hot, we're hot. They don't have an effective run game either, so we know what to expect defensively.

Another first in Ravens history. The Ravens had ZERO penalties in this game, a first in the history of the Ravens.

so happy about the win, but it goes to show how inept the offense was. It took a 0 penalty +4 turnover performance to win by a single score...
Ive got everything crossed for next week...

You know, the BF is the stat guy and he's sick and sleeping but they keep saying how great we are after a bye week and I know we WIN but it just seems to me that we always play rusty after a bye. It is how I remember it anyway.

stop it really.

we've run the ball all game. it's going nowhere.

we had a good mix of plays and actually moved the ball. that's what we need.

no more of this run, run, pass crap.
Of course you run the ball during this situation. We were already in FG range and a running clock at that point was the Ravens best friend. It was 2nd and 5 with less than 3:00 to play. You run the ball to force them to use their timeouts. If you noticed, those incomplete passes on 2nd and 3rd down only took 8 seconds off the clock. Any coach above youth flag football knows this! Guess you never coached.

Rice was the biggest dissapointment for me, he was very poor.

That said, we're still in the AFC champ game and 1 game away from the Superbowl.

Regardless how we played yesterday we need to regroup and focus on the challenge ahead.

The whole year Joe Flacco has been critized for just about everything. In the Houston game it was apparent that the offensive line had alot of trouble. The receivers got little seperation from their defenders. You would think that if the receivers were having trouble getting off the line of scrimmage you would put one in motion and run short crossing patterns setting picks for one other. Every one does this except the Ravens. How could Flacco's stats look good with this happening every game. I suggest the critics go to the people section of this web site. Joe Flacco holds about every record in Ravens history. If the coaching staff takes the same approach against the Patriots its not going to be good.
