Okay Looking At A House In Oakland, Md

7 posts in this topic

Will I have access to say the Ravens games on channel 5 on Sundays? I live in outside of Morgantown, WV now and its everything Steelers, I have a channel on my TV that does nothing but talk Pittsburgh sports etc. which comes with basic cable.

I am just curious because its VERY possible that my wife and I will be buying a home near Oakland very soon. Having Ravens on my cable and not Steelers would be pretty awesome. Plus I would not have to pay for all those extra sports packages to watch every Ravens game each season.

I am sure not many people on these forums live in Oakland, if any at all, but I am sure some live outside of Baltimore or know people that do that could give me a heads up?

Edit* and its located in Garrett county near WV.

Sorry but no. That is neither a primary or secondary market of the Ravens. It is a primary market for the Redskins and a secondary market for the Steelers I believe.

You can look at the tv game distribution maps from this year and see how many Ravens games you got. http://the506.com/nflmaps/

Yeah it very Country... reason for moving there to be away from the city, the house I found was a nicely priced nice 5 bedroom farmhouse and the area seemed nice for raising children. Plus being Maryland I figured it would be Ravens Country and I could fly my Ravens flag with pride! WRONG! However! I think I am going to remain in Morgantown even tho its West Virginia, it to me is a better area in general, more things to do, more/better schools/places to go/eat etc. I guess I will continue my Ravens shopping online.

All the Walmarts here sale Steelers merchandise, I mean TONS of Steelers gear. The Walmarts here at times sale more Steelers gear than Mountaineer gear. I hate both the Panthers and the Steelers with a passion. My mother in law bought me a Steelers shirt last year and I took it back ASAP and got a refund... I actually wouldn't know how to act if I walked into a Walmart or a store and found nothing but Ravens gear. And my wife's family is from Morgantown, I am from VA, but if it was up to me I would be in Owing Mills, MD right now... but Garrett/Allegnay County is far as I can talk my wife into moving for the moment.
