Prediction Texans Vs Ravens This Sunday @ 1Pm

150 posts in this topic

I think this is a statement game. For Flacco and for the Ravens. I think they score early and they don't let up; not if Cam wants to have any shot at all of keeping his job they won't. Rookie QB on the road in Baltimore for the playoffs is a mighty big and loud stage. If they force the game on him, that's not going to be a comfortable place for him to be.

Ravens 31 Texans 17

Interesting note, was watching No Huddle on NFL Network and they start on this game and Marshall Faulk starts with, 'For me it's Flacco ...' and I think, ok .. here we go again, then he surprises me with (paraphrased), 'Cam Cameron .. take off the handcuffs. What are you doing?' and 'I love Joe Flacco .. he's got that look .. a bit of Eli there ...'

I think that really is the X-factor. Does Cameron let go of the leash, take off the handcuffs and just let Joe, Rice and the Ravens play? If they do. There's a lot of teams out there that will be worried after this game.

texans fans are NUTS if they think they're gonna put up big points on our defense
lewis and reed knows this is pretty much their last shot at rings and I don't think they're going to let a rookie QB come even close to ruining it

Prediction: Joe finally hooks up with Lee Evans for some nice deep passes.

I'm actually thinking the same thing.. I think theyve prolly been working on a few specific plays and if it's a close game throughout Sunday rhey'll break em out.. Prolly a few new formations also

How is that the x-factor? lol Everyone knows thats their strength. I dont intend this to be mean but thats not gonna happen. Guarantee it. Our record after a buy is excellent and our record at home is perfect. Mixed with that crowd and a rookie qb on your side.

Ravens 24

Texans 13

I wanna give us more point differential but i give your defense credit.

Ben Tate has a big game.
James Casey will have a impact as well.

Texans 24

Ravens 20

"I see old people"" running out of energy. I see Texans defense under estimated but highly rated.
I see Texans upsetting Ravens at there home. Its going to be a guerilla warfare...were coming like silverbacks.

Texans 32
Ravens 13

Compare to week 6: Dre is back, that's about a 30 point swing in the Texans' favor. Yates = Schaub, plus the Texans' D is the only unit in football that's gotten better since week 6 (aside from their offense). Flacco will crumble under pressure this time because he's due after consistently winning at home, against playoff teams, against the Texans, and never crumbling under pressure. Foster will have a much better game this time because the last time he faced the Ravens, he called it his worst game ever. Meanwhile, the Texans will once again lead the turnover battle 2-0 (or better) because that happened in week 6, meaning it wasn't a fluke. Fluke-o, as he's been called, isn't good because you can spell his name differently like Flaco or Flake-o.

31-20. Losing just is not an option. I predict we will hit the ground running, come out swinging and end up winning!!!

I didn't predict an actual score.

On defense, I predict this game to be similar to the Jets game. Though I think Yates is tougher than Sanchez so he probably won't go fetal position and cry and all that lol

On offense, I predict something along the lines of the Rams game, with Evans getting at least one TD and a few long yardage catches. Man has been waiting for an opportunity for a playoff run a long time, he will show up for us.

I see us having pulled away by at least 10 by the half.

edit: Oh man. Just had a thought lol If Tebow doesn't pull off another miracle...we will have Pats fans here next week!!!! Yikes! lol

That's one thing I forgot. Even though he's been a non-factor for the most part (with the exception of his two huge 3rd down conversions against the 49ers and Jets), we didn't have Lee Evans when we last went up against the Texans.

Most writers across the country have been favoring the Ravens. We are a great ball team at home and they know it.

The D will have a big day and force at least 1 Turnover, 4+ sacks. As great as Houston's O-line is the run-game they struggle at times in protection. I think guys like Ngata, McPhee, and Redding will be able to get a lot of inside pressure and collapse the pocket. We shouldnt have too much trouble stuffing the run with Ngata, Cody, and Jones inside with JJ and Sizzle setting the edges. I just dont see their offense being able to move the ball effectively, especially with a fired up home crowd.

On offense we need to have a balanced attack. The Texans can bring a lot of pressure and will probably be overly aggressive. Look for Cam to slow them down with some screen plays to Rice, Pitta, and of course Leach. Ray Rice will get his touches and have 100+ yds from scrimmage. The Texans are strong against the run, but over the course of the game our O-line will wear them down physically (they dont have the same size up front that we have). Pitta and Boldin will be able to move the chains and Joe will hook up with Torrey at least once downfield.

I'm thinking a final score of 27-13

And I predict that I will be consumed by all of my superstitions and be anxious throughout the entire game. Sounds like a helluva time!!!! And on top of that, I can't wait for it!!!!!

I predict that I may have to bind and gag my Steeler fan BF who for some reason thinks he's allowed to root for the Texans. smh

I will eat too much chips and dip (because that is what I do to calm my nerves) and be unable to sit still. Until we take our big lead. :)

Ravens defense shows the league how dominant they are off a bye and the offense gets it done against the 2nd ranked defense? in the league

I have no worries in this game whatsoever lol. We are well rested and have all our players active. We arent 8-0 at home for no reason. You'll see the ravens will be victorious. I feel bad for the texans honestly.

Stay classy ravens fans..
Just because someone comes on our board and acts cocky doesn't mean we have to. Everyone knows this will be a dogfight.
Obviously I believe we are the better team also but I know that the texans are a good team and I'm not takin hem lightly and u shouldn't either
