Ed Reed Got Injured, Had A Stinger

22 posts in this topic

Thought I'd post this, didn't see it posted yet

from ESPN
"I had a stinger hurt me this year so bad in my right shoulder to where now it has affected my deltoid (muscle in the shoulder) and my scapula," Reed told the AFC North blog. "My shoulder has just been hanging on the last couple of weeks. You could see how it has affected me for the most part. I think I've missed one tackle for four games straight, one in each game."
This would make sense seeing as he has missed on some tackles, well not missed but really try to avoid contact on some plays

Yea I think everyone that has common sense knew that Ed Reed had some kind of lingering injury. Those pushes aren't him at all. John Harbaugh said everybody is 100% and healthy. We haven't been this healthy and have had no one on the injury report since week one. This is a really good sign for us and things are really looking up for the ravens. Get this win and move on.

We need Reed in the backfield badly; I hope his shoulder is getting better, and rookie Yates knows nothing about him. I expect Reed will have a big day against Yates...

Although I have a hunch some one might have said something to him or at least handed him a note warning him of Ed Reed.

Probably just a sticky note on his locker that fell under a rug somewhere.

No biggie, it's just Ed Reed.

Wait wait ... does anyone else find it REALLY odd that Reed would talk about how bad his injury is and how it's effecting his ability to make a big play right before a huge game?

Me thinks Ed is hurt, but Ed is also a crafty veteran playing mindgames with Houston.

Nothing wrong with a little gamesmanship. That or he tired of the fans dogging on him. I expect Reed to excel in the playoffs.

Hurt or not, the rookie gets foolish and throws it in his vacinity, we know the likely outcome.

I hope the break helped him heal up, Yates vs Reed is a match up I want to see. Its giving me some of those pregame butterflies and the game is still days away.

Reeds been hurting for a while its no secret .. I remember that stinger I believe it was the Jags game? I just remember him rolling around in pain. He will put it all on the line for this game though I have no doubt, pain or not. Hopefully these are his last few games and we can witness him go out on top, the way it should be.

Some time ago I suggested the possibility of "sharking" going on in the NFL and I got pretty railroaded about that.
I stand by what I say. It happens, and the Ravens do it too.
I know if I was a coach I would hold my cards as close to my chest as I possibly could.

Yep. Can't smallow any more of the feeble arm tackles and pulling up on hits.

Ed's been saving himself for Festivus! Hopefully...............

I remember when he got that stinger, didnt think it was that serious
Was that vs Seattle or something when he and Cody went down on the same play? That play made my heart stop and <upset> me seeing him lay it all out when our offense wasn't doing anything.
