Hue Jackson?

I'd love to see Hue calling plays here as the OC. Rotoworld mentioned his "creative scheming" and "aggressive play-calling".

Wow thats crazy. I didnt see that one coming. But yeah I would love to see him come back as our QB coach.
I didn't either, I was just saying this morning "man, it'd be great if we could get Hue Jackson back, but no way they fire him so prematurely."

Well...

This would be an even better pick up than Norv Turner imo.

Yeah I think he would make a great replacment for Cam. He put together quite the offense with the like of Jason Campbell, Carson Palmer, Michael Bush for much of the year, and DHB, Denarious Moore, and other young guys.

If we lose Sunday.... Do we fire Cam Monday?
Why wait until Monday?

But seriously, I would like to see Jackson back in some form as either QB Coach/OC

Come to think of it, with the new GM Reggie McKenzie coming in, it kinda makes sense that he would want to go after his own head coach. Its a shame that Hue had to get the boot though... unless of course he comes here as our new OC.

Bring him back! We can use him as an offensive consultant and QB coach and if Cam falters we can the cam.

Depends on if Cam throws up an air ball or not.

Why wouldn't Hue come back?
Sign him as QB Coach for post season, give him freedom to interview wherever in regular season with the potential to replace Cam if Ozzie and Steve go down that path. Think it would be smart on his part and he would have chance to get a ring.

No one should say if we lose Sunday, and we will prevail and go all the way.....

Cam Cameron needs to be fired and Hue needs to be his replacement regardless of what happens this season. Honestly, I thought Hue was promoted to HC way too quickly and, by accounts from the Raiders, he didn't handle the power he had after Al Davis' death well. That being said, I thought he did a good job as Oakland's OC last season. I don't think he'll be forced to take a job as a QB coach, and anything is better than Cam at this point.

He did a tremendous job with the Oakland offense, but I'm worried about his ego. Hue went, to put it lightly, completely mad with power as the Raiders head coach, and apparently some of those traits were exhibited in Baltimore as well. I wouldn't necessarily pass on a coach who's in it for himself if he's really good, but there's a substantial risk involved there.

Dang, I feel bad for the guy... I mean seriously, after his tribute to Al Harris, they fire him like that? They didn't even have their worst year under him this time..

Perhaps, as many said, due to the completely idiotic Palmer trade/fiasco!!

The question is not if we need Jackson; instead, it is if he wants to come back. I'm sure he'd make a definite OC somewhere, if not a HC for a desperate team. Putting him back at Qb coach would not fly with him.

i did, he really tried to take control once Al Davis died and I think he rubbed some people the wrong way with his comments to the media, also, the trade for Carson Palmer was insane, he put so much into getting Palmer its ridiculous how much they payed, Palmer has never been the same player ever since that knee injury

He was just fired by the Raiders. Any chance he comes back here as an offensive consultant or QB coach?
I am amazed, judged in one year as not fit for the Raiders. Cam Cameron was fired just as quick with the Dolphins, but I can recall no NFL head coach in the modern era who was not give reasonable time to succeed. Hue Jackson was not given anytime to succeed in Oakland. There must have been something behind the scenes that the public did not know that the new management saw to get rid of Jackson. I am still shocked.

I would love to have him back. Look at what he did with Dhb who was considered a bust and is now a decent receiver. He is also very aggressive which I like about him.
