Sorry to pick on you right after a loss, but it seems to me fans will do anything to avoid blaming their own quarterback.

Unless they're like the Ravens fans I know who blame Joe for playing poorly even after we win. I don't know if I'll ever forget last year when we beat the Bills in OT, and people were blaming Flacco for almost losing the game. I mean he had a rating of 110, threw 3 TDs, and people were saying he didn't score enough points and almost cost us the game. I really think there are quite a few Ravnes fans out there who just plain don't want Joe here.

Now... Matt Ryan gets his blame... The no playoff thing will remain on his record and will get talked about... This is on him also.... But you guys are judgeing off one game... Im judgeing off this game and this whole year for my team... Ryan will get his share of the blame no doubt.... But you saw the game... The play calls was terrible... We have been saying this for years... The O-LINE has gotten Ryan blasted most of the year.

As the QB he will get his blame... He is not near the top of our problems tho... Trust me.. Falcon fans are going in on Matt Ryan also... Im looking at the bigger picture (The whole season including this game) ...

True, some people just want him gone. It makes no sense to me, I'm not sure who they'd want to replace him with. The defense completely choked vs. Buffalo, he's the only reason we won that game.

Some people truly believe the media, that Joe is holding us back, and that the defense is the only reason we win. Despite the fact that we've had far better defenses before without any success before the Flacco era.

Part of me wants to see him gone just so that crowd can shut up and see that we would regress and not improve.

I can blame Matt but when the players are saying
However, not all of the blame falls on the quarterback. Rather than challenge defenses with aggressive play-calling, Atlanta has played scared.

“We talked about trying to establish the running game because we didn’t think we could pass protect,” said Falcons wide receiver Roddy White, who was limited to five catches for 52 yards with a long of only 21 yards. “We played right into their hands. I mean, if they sack us every down and we can’t move the ball, OK. But let’s try.”

White’s remarks echo private comments of several other players who have pointed at a disconnection who offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey’s approach. Numerous players believe Mularkey is too conservative, particularly in tense situations like the playoffs.

Or as one player put it: “Something has to be said to [coach] Mike [Smith] this offseason.”

For now, the important issue is whether the Giants will have something to say in Green Bay.
I cant say Matt Ryan is sucking when the players are saying our OC is playing scared... When ever we have attacked teams it was when we was mainly in no huddle (Matt Ryan calling the shots) .

Matt Doesnt get a pass but he is no where near the main problem

Honestly, I hope Matt gets hammered by the media this offseason like Joe did last offseason. I didn't want to root against him at first, but after "Matty >>>> Flacco" was shoved down our throats in 2010 when they had nearly identical numbers and performances, I have to smile a little bit at his 0-3 playoff record.

Man the Falcons played so bad that their Defensive Coordinator decided to jump to Auburn to be their new Defensive Coordinator lol.

I wonder if teams will be second guessing doing a trade like the Falcons did in not just the 2012 Draft but in future Drafts because obviously it didn't work the way the Falcons expected and they are without a 1st round pick that they could have used to get a good defensive player.

He did his job, the Falcons D played really well except for the final few drives. It was apparent that their offense wasn't going to do anything before then, though. How does Mike Smith get away with calling so many failed 4th-down conversions?

I totally agree with this; how can you blame a defense fault when the offense couldn't even score a FG? Even the elite 2000 defense couldn't finish their job if their offense only score 2pts........

Ha, and the offense didn't score THOSE points! So much for an "explosive offense"

opps, that's even worse; 2pt safety, forgot about that. I was giving too much credit for the Falcons offense against one of the worse secondary banged up defense.....

Yeah he did, I tried making it sound like a joke like he left because they played so bad but I don't think it worked lol. Falcons needed to improve their defense more than their offense. Giving up a 1st round pick for him was dumb.

I know! I highly doubt teams will try what Atlanta did unless it was for a sure thing player(Luck) but otherwise let this be a lesson learned.
