What Games Have You Watched Live (Attended)

72 posts in this topic

My parents bought PSL's when the stadium opened, so I go to pretty much every home game. Grew up watching our birds!

2008- Week 1 Bengals and I think week 7 Raiders.
2009- Week 1 Chiefs and Week 8 Broncos.
2010- Week 7 Bills and Week 13 Steelers Game.
2011- Week 1 Steelers, Week 11 Bengals and Week 12 49ers.
I went to other games before 2008, but I can't remember hahhaha.

I've only been to two games, the first was in 1996 during the inaugural season at home against the Bengals. For some reason I didn't bring a coat and it was in the mid-30's and we were in the upper deck. Plus, they had a 21-3 halftime lead and lost 24-21.

The only other game, I don't remember the exact year, but it was a preseason game against the Jets in the early 2000's. It was the annual back-up matchup between Chris Redman and Chad Pennington. That's the only thing I remember about that game too.
However... I may have an inside track to picking up some Super Bowl tickets this year if the Ravens make it. It's not guaranteed, but if it comes to it, I'm optimistic.

I've been to every home game since I got season tickets in the 2001 season (the year after the super bowl...dagger!). I've seen some amazing stuff and I've seen some terrible stuff (KYLE BOLLER OH GOD WHYYYYYY) but here are my two favorites:

Chris McCalister's fg return for a td in 2002 against the Broncos...amazing. Ray Lewis throws the biggest block I've ever seen, no joke. Here's a video (it's also classic John Madden commentary...pretty priceless):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLZN0CabW6s

Ed Reed's 108 yard interception return for a TD against the Eagles in 2008...nothing else needs to be said here:

I went to the thanksgiving game, and the Browns game. Unbelievable experience. I wish i could get PSL's, but um, I'm a broke college student haha.

I live in Denmark, but saved up for a trip to come over and watch a game this season. It was against Houston and i sat in the first row behind the Ravens bench. Pretty cool experience

I've seen one ravens loss live, the day we gave Miami thier only win a few years ago.

All the others were wins. Ravens playoff game in Miami, steelers in baltimore two years ago, Monday night opener vs the jets last year, and rhe thanksgiving game this year.

I promise to keep the win streak up when I attend the home playoff game a week from today!!!!
ugh i was there for that game... face painted, purple toga and all. felt like a ars walking out that day, never heard so much trash talking in my life. but i was also there the next year when we took them out of the playoffs!

Made it back home to Bmore a few times in the past few years, but favorite game was this past one christmas eve against the browns. Had section 121 so the view of the tunnel as the players came out made it all worth while. Plus a front row seat to that beautiful ray rice pass/TD. Plus me and the fiance made it on TV with a candy cane D fence sign!!!

I've been to 3 games, all home games. The first was against the 49ers back when they had TO, I think it was TO's last season with them. My second game was against the Bills when we had Deion Sanders and he got that pick six that later became a Burger King commercial. The third game I went to was week 1 of the 2008 season, Joe's first start.

Other than Ravens games, I went to the Military Bowl last year to see the Terps play ECU. Torrey burned them pretty bad.

What I really like about going to the games is the environment. So much positive energy, it's a lot of fun.

I had season tickets for M&T Bank when i lived in Baltimore until i moved away in 2003, so that leaves 1998-2002 season so lets see here;

memorable games

It was either in the 1998 or 1999 but the home against the Colts when they had Manning and Marshall Faulk, the Colts were dominating us and everyone in the stadium was about to leave. Then, somehow, our offense mounted an insane comeback, the best of our history at that point, and won the game. Leaving the stadium everyone was chanting "Irsay Sucks", that was fun.

The Super Bowl year, our 1st home game vs Jacksonville (who at that time in our history we had never beaten, they always beat us with Brunell), same story, they were up big and everyone was about to leave again, but somehow Tony Banks ended up throwing 5TD passes and we won for the first time vs Jax 39-36.

The Ravens v Browns game where Ed Reed had that pick six off the tipped pass and returned it 107 yrds for the game winning TD.

SuperBowl year, Chris Mcalister vs the Jets (our Last Home Game that year) when he picked off the ball at the 1 yrd line for a 99yrd TD that swung the game in our favor.

2001, MNF after winning the Super Bowl, we are already destroying Denver when Elam misses a long FG but leaves it in bounds. Chris Mcalister catches it and returns it for a TD (it was a rare play back then) and Ray had a crazy hard block on a Denver lineman.

I was there for the Ravens loss in the playoffs in 2006, that one sucked.

In 2008, Ed Reed's field day vs the Redskins at night.

2010- Bucs game, non eventful. Rice did have a good 88 yrd TD on a screen pass called back.

2011- The Bengals game, that one was intense. Great back and forth high scoring game.

The first 10 years of the team, my friend had 4 season tickets and I went to most games. He moved and sold his PSLs so I don't go as often now, maybe 2 or 3 games a year.

My favorite goes back to the 2000 season and the home game against the jags. My oldest son(he was 10 at the time) and I were there and what an exciting game it was.

Marc Brunell and Jimmy Smith were killing us all day, but Tony Banks and Co. put together a furious comeback to take the lead in the 4th quarter, only to have Brunell hook up with Smith one more time for a 36-32 jags lead with a minute and change left. People just started streaming out of the stadium with their heads hung low and mumbling to themselves. My son asked me if we were going to leave as well and I asked him "Why, there's still time on the clock and we can win this thing!". He kind of just looked at me and said nothing. Well, Banks drove us down the field and hit Shannon Sharpe for the winning TD with about 30 seconds left and what was left of the crowd went bonkers! What a satisfying win and key moment in a SB season.

I've been to every home game since we started playing in 1996. Obviously I have a lot of good (and a few bad) memories. Perhaps my favorite of all time was beating Denver in the playoffs on New Year's Eve.

I've also been to quite a few away games, including our first Super Bowl.

The stadium was going insane on the Jamal Lewis tipped pass to Shannon Sharpe for a TD, everything went our way that year.

Ugh, I've probably said this enough but the only game I went to this year was the Bal @ SD debacle...

Planning on hitting the Ravens @ Redskins next year though! It's funny that including that game, I'll have gone to 3 total football games, none of which were at M&T. I can't wait until the day I get to sit in that great stadium and watch these guys play at home...!

I've only been to one game. This year's Texans game. Only reason I was able to go was that I won tickets. Pretty good experience. Now I just need to go to a Monday/Sunday night or playoff game (never gonna happen).

Man I hate living outside of Maryland. Im down here in Florida and I want to go to a Ravens game so bad. I would love to go to a Ravens - Steelers game but I cannot afford that kind of travel expense on top of a ticket price.

I live in Montgomery County, which is Redskins land, and through a non-profit I've been involved with, I get free tickets once inna while to watch the Redskins lose. I had some college buddies who were on the team, so that was my real incentive to not sell or give away the tickets.

But I did go to the Ravens vs Redskins game in 08 when Ed Reed outscored the Redskins offense by himself. I try to go to the Ravens vs Redskins preseason game every year too. I must say down here in Mo County, the Ravens are slowly taking over the Redskins fan base though and during Redskin home games, you'll see a lot of Ravens fans.

2006
First Ravens game was Away in Pittsburgh. Ravens won 31-7. What a way to be brought into the family. Got to Pittsburgh and the first words I heard were and I quote "Get the [profanity deleted] back in your car and got to Baltimore."

2008
Ravens vs. Steelers in Bmore. This was the non-touchdown for Santonio at the Goal-line. AFC North was on the line. It was my First M&T Bank game and it was a barnburner.

2009
Kansas City game, first time I was at an opener. Also the very first time, I took my now wife to a Ravens game.

Cleveland Browns, the quarterback carousel game, We had fun beating around both Derek Anderson and Quinn that day, it was my first Ravens game in the lower level.

Cincinatti Bengals, don't remember much about this game.

Cincinatti Bengals in Cincinatti, the fans there hate Ray! We lost but it was a fun experience, got my first out of state Speeding Ticket!

Chicago Bears, I like to call this the Blizzard game, Also on my own stupidity, I got ripped by a scalper. It was super cold that evening. The game got pushed back because of the snow removal.

2010
Carolina preseason game @ home, it rained like crazy that evening
Cleveland Browns for the home opener
Buffalo Bills, I never knew how many Bills fan their were out there, they had a big pep rally by our tailgate
Miami Dolphins All of the games seemed to be close this year
@ Carolina, this was awesome, there were more Ravens fans than Carolina fans
@ Cleveland, It was most definately one of the coldest days of my life. Cleveland fans were decent, I was told it was because "we had a [profanity deleted]ty season" the fan told me if they were in contention that they would hate us.
Cincinatti it was just the perfect end to an awesome years worth of games

2011
@ Pittsburgh, what else can be said but WOW! Beating them in their house the way we did was perfect.
vs. Houston, to be determined but hope it's the best I have ever seen.

Enjoy!

My very first ravens game was at the bank when Jamal Lewis broke the single season rushing record against the browns (think 03)?

I have also been to every home game from during 06, 07, 08. Some of the games played during that span that i remember is

~~Heap TD winning game against SD
~~Domination game against the steelers when we had I believe 7 sacks, (Bart Scott hit)
~~Browns game when Ray Lewis leveled Winslow accross the middle and Reed/CMac ... cant remember took it to the house.
~~Pats MNF game when it was 16 degrees, snowing, and wind was blowing 45+ MPH... their undefeated season when we came 3 ft from winning with Boller.
~~Colts game when we got STOMPED .. it was like 40 something to 3 at halftime... i left, it was raining, nasty and not a good day
~~Colts playoff game in 06' (our last home playoff game) , when we held that offense to no TD's.

I only went to about one game a season for the past few years but last year I moved to pratt st (a few blocks from the stadium) and I saw them play the cardinals and 9ers this year, just got tickets for Sundays game!. I had a choice between 23 rows back on the 40 yard line or row five smack in the middle of endzone section 140.. I went for the endzone hopefully I'll see alot of action :)

Yeah, It seemed the whole attitude of the fan base changed after that game. We knew we were capable of beating our toughest rival no matter how well they played. Do you believe the jags were once our nemesis?
