What Games Have You Watched Live (Attended)

72 posts in this topic

Hey guys! I'm really interested in how many games and which games people have been to, in order to have highlights or any kind of events shared with me.

Therefor, I made this topic!

In 2010, I saw the Ravens - Steelers at M&T the 5th dec the day after my birthday (you know, the Troy P. sack fumble on Flacco) where they lost. Was disappointed, sure, but nonetheless it was a great experience. I've only seen just the one.

Which Ravens games have you seen, how many, whats your favorite part about it? Feel free to fill in anything else.

P.S. Non-ravens games are welcome too

Toodles

EDIT: LIVE of course!

I've seen one ravens loss live, the day we gave Miami thier only win a few years ago.

All the others were wins. Ravens playoff game in Miami, steelers in baltimore two years ago, Monday night opener vs the jets last year, and rhe thanksgiving game this year.

I promise to keep the win streak up when I attend the home playoff game a week from today!!!!

The first 10 years of the team, my friend had 4 season tickets and I went to most games. He moved and sold his PSLs so I don't go as often now, maybe 2 or 3 games a year.

My favorite goes back to the 2000 season and the home game against the jags. My oldest son(he was 10 at the time) and I were there and what an exciting game it was.

Marc Brunell and Jimmy Smith were killing us all day, but Tony Banks and Co. put together a furious comeback to take the lead in the 4th quarter, only to have Brunell hook up with Smith one more time for a 36-32 jags lead with a minute and change left. People just started streaming out of the stadium with their heads hung low and mumbling to themselves. My son asked me if we were going to leave as well and I asked him "Why, there's still time on the clock and we can win this thing!". He kind of just looked at me and said nothing. Well, Banks drove us down the field and hit Shannon Sharpe for the winning TD with about 30 seconds left and what was left of the crowd went bonkers! What a satisfying win and key moment in a SB season.

Up until this year, I would average 3/4 home games a year, so that would be too hard to recount. I will say, however, my few favorites were:

*The San Diego game with Heap diving across the goal line for the game winning TD.
*Pitt game with Krugers game clinching INT
*Ray's big block to spring McCalister for the long FG return TD

I've also been to (away games):

*Philly game in '05 when TO imitated Rays dance (we lost)
*San Diego (a few years back and we lost)
*Pittsburgh Monday night game back in 2004 or 2005 (we lost)
*Pro Bowl in 2005 (gross stadium, but awesome trip!)
*Dallas game in 2008 (everyone remembers that one and we won)

I've been to every home game since we started playing in 1996. Obviously I have a lot of good (and a few bad) memories. Perhaps my favorite of all time was beating Denver in the playoffs on New Year's Eve.

I've also been to quite a few away games, including our first Super Bowl.

I normally get to 2-3 per year, but this year none. One or my most memorable was the new england Monday nighter, when we almost destroyed their perfect season. The energy was amazing, even more so then the last hone playoff game vs. Indy.

I was at the chargers game referenced above as well, I was 8 rows back when heap made the diving catch in the endzone. This is definitely on my list.

My favorite game that I went to was probably when we faced the eagles in 08 and Ed Reed had that 108 int return for a TD.
It was my second game ever I believe and all I could think about was how loud the crowd was.

Also when we beat the Saints last year, that game was awesome!

I went to about 10 games total since 08, And I never went to one where we lost!

You went into the Eagles nest and survived? You're braver than I am. My Eagles buddy wants me to go to the game with him next season and I gave a hearty "NO THANKS".

Last game I went to was last year @carolina. great experience, saw a classic/unselfish pick six and Ravens fans must have outnumbered panthers fans at least 10 to 1

The Old Man and I try to get to most every home game. Usually average 6 a year, I'd say. When I was in college, I was down to about two (not counting playoffs). His father in law used to take him to Colts games like it was a religious obligation. Since '96, we would wake up at the crack of dawn and drive all the way from the Lower Bay to Bmore. Many happy memories both at the game and just outings in Baltimore. The Ravens aren't just a sports team to me--they are a part of my life and have shaped my identity more than most anything I can think of besides family and aviation.

Favorite moment of all time? The feeling in the DoubleTree in Tampa after the Super Bowl. I think that was a high point in my life. Fantastic (last) Christmas gift from my grandfather too. He knew he had a few months left so he spent thousands and thousands on tickets for us to enjoy that moment.

So yeah, if I ever get too passionate guys, that's kind of why. Lot of emotion tied up in this team for me ;)

I've been to several road games--I always go when it's at FedEx, been to Pittsburgh twice (partially why I hate them so much), Carolina, and New York. In 2005, after I finished my finals in college (in Montana), made my way down to Denver for that ugly loss. That was probably one of the more miserable games I had been to, but the one the next week against Green Bay kind of salvaged that season and was fun to be at.

Some day we'll get PSLs. Kind of pointless for me to do it with my career right now, though.

Went to Foxboro 2 years ago for the Ravens Pats wildcard game...there was nothing more that I could've asked for in my first Ravens game..

Got to see Ray sack one of the greatest QBs ever
Got to see Ed intercept one of the greatest QBs ever
Got to see Rice break one of the longest runs on the first play of a game ever...

My dad bought a PSL back in 96, so I've had the good fortune to be able to go to many games. My favorite games have been,

Ravens-Eagles in 2008. Seeing that pick 6 live was incredible. I was also at Cincy and Cleveland that year, Jets game, Texans, Cincy, all great.

Probably my favorite experience was Week One this year. My high school was selected to compete in the "Quarterback Challenge" so my Coach was able to get tickets for the seniors to go. We won the QB challenge, and the Ravens won. That was the loudest the stadium has been. The best part? My coach is a Steeler's fan :P

This year I went to the Texans, Bengals, and Browns games... nothing beats that atmosphere. I'm still hoping to make my way to The Bank this Sunday.

Ughhhhh........... The cincy losses over the years have been the worst(other than the couple to the colts, of course). They have always played us tough in our house. I hated the headaches after losses to the kittys.

Home games since mid-1998 we got our PSL's in 1999. Nothing like it.
Jax 2000 and the Denver playoff game by far my favorite
I have been to the Vet and saw them take Aikmen out and the fans cheered
RFK to 2 preason games in 1990 and the dump at Fed-Ex. My then boyfriend who is now my husband got me football tickets instead of candy and flowers
Went to most Maryland home games 85-90
Army-Navy from around 1969 to '79
Several BALTIMORE Colt games--my dad is pretty cool in that he did not mind taking a daughter to a football game when it was not popular. He started taking me when I was 5, He still goes to all the games with us.

Man, I can't even remember them all.

1996- NO 17 @ BAL 10 (Memorial Stadium)
1998- PIT 20 @ BAL 13 (1st game at Ravens Stadium)
2000 & 2001- DEN 3 @ BAL 21 ( Wildcard game) & BAL 34/NYG 7 (SB game in TB)

After 2001 I have been going to 1 or 2 home games each year except for '08 & '09.

I will be in attendance at The Bank this coming weekend, though!! I have 5 friends flying in from Houston to see the game too (Yes, they are Texans fans). However, I plan on saving money on in-stadium beer by drinking their tears all game long ;).

GO RAVENS!!

My hate for you just went thru the roof. None. Hell, I don't even get to watch all the games on tv sometimes.

Saw the near comeback with a missed FG by Hauschka when the Ravens visited the Vikings. Ray Rice and Flacco both had huge games, and this was when Minnesota's D was good.

Got 3rd row seats right beside the Vikings player tunnel on the 10yd line for 125 a piece, how much would those cost in Charm City?

The temp and wind at the Denver wild card game was brutal! The win made everything warm and cozy though.

Ive watched a game in Baltimore and in Cleveland. I think what I noticed both times, is how slow the game is live compared to on tv for some reason. On tv it looks like everyone is going 100mph, but live it sure does slow down.

The last time the ravens played the bears in 2010 i think. The east coast got hit by a huge snow storm and the game was delayed a couple hours. First and only time i have been to m&T bank. I got a peace sign from devon hester and a game ball. We won so i was pretty happy :)

I've been to 2 Ravens game. I saw them play in SD this year. It was a lot of fun because there were tons of Ravens fans there and even met Adam Jones, but the game sucked! Also Qualcomm is a terrible stadium...

My first game was at the Bank I think in 04 against the Bills. Primetime had 2 picks and returned one for a TD in a Ravens win. Definitely a great experience.
