Steelers Vs Broncos Game Thread

1,080 posts in this topic

Might as well get a head start on this one. Someone else can make the Giants/Falcons game thread if they wish lol. The game is 4:30 tomorrow and with Houston winning, the winner of this game plays New England next Saturday Night.

Will Tebow Magic happen again or will the Steel Curtain D prevent the magic from happening? How healthy will Ben's ankle be, will Von Miller get enough pressure to make Ben scramble and force him to throw earlier than he wants? There has been reports now that John Fox would actually pull Tebow from the game if he struggles for Brady Quinn, so will there be a Quinn sighting?

Predictions for Final score?

Steelers 31
Broncos 10

Steelers 6, Broncos 3.

The Broncos will turn the ball over 6 times and the Steelers 4.

So for shucks and grins I'm predicting more turnovers than points scored.

I know I'll be hoping for some Tebow Magic but it's going to take a miracle. I wonder if me Tebowing will give some luck to Denver lol.

Messy, mistake filled game

Steelers RB to fumble twice and Broncos QB to be picked off twice

Matt Prater to deliver three FG's

Steelers Seventeen
Denver Nine

Denvers D to put up a very good performance and finally get some recognition as the talking heads have ignored them and given all the glory to the QB.

Big Ben spots cameras as he comes off the field and starts limping

It's gonna be a very low scoring game. I dont know how y'all are predicting some of these scores. These are two very good defenses. If it is a low scoring game like I believe it will be, I think Denver may come out on top. 16-13. The game will be decided by a late 4th quarter score, either way.

Just saw this on PFT:
Glazer reports that there’s a third-down package for Quinn, which will be used if Tebow struggles early. Then, if it gets out of hand, Tebow could be yanked completely for Quinn.
http://profootballta...be-interrupted/

So do the Broncos not realize that this is a playoff game and that this is not the time to play switch a roo with the Quarterback position. Once again it seems the Broncos are setting Tebow up to fail so they have a excuse to get rid of him instead of trying to build around him.

Then again this could be good strategy by getting the Steelers to prepare for both QBs and have gameplans for both Quinn and Tebow.

The talking heads have constantly mentioned the defense and pointed out Tebow's struggles. One guy: Skip Bayless has constantly touted Tebow. Other than that its been talking heads acting like other Talking heads are over-hyping Tebow while none of them actually did. And then people fall for that and post it on forum threads.

I'm as big a Tebow lover as you'll find, but I'm not jaded. He is NOT an NFL Quarterback. When he lets instincts take over he runs, or does that weird, wind-mill, wind-up delivery. Unless you can fix that, he's never going to improve. I think a crippled Ben and ancient Steeler D will win, but only by a few points.

I'm a supporter of Tebow as well and believe that if he had the right support from the front office, which clearly John Elway is trying to find anyway possible to get rid of Tebow, down to the coaches Tebow can be a successful QB. He needs a coaching staff that would be willing to work with him, improve his mechanics and make him better as a QB. Just I don't get what the Broncos are trying to do, Kyle Orton had the team at 1-4, Tebow comes in, they win six straight, win the AFC West and are hosting a Playoff game today. I know it was the defense and Matt Prater who deserve the most credit but when Tebow took over as the starting QB, the team played harder for him.

Nothing changed, Tebow took over the same team Orton had at 1-4 and Tebow took them to the playoffs. Now they are going to abandon the guy who got you to the PLAYOFFS in the first place for a guy who hasn't played since 2009, doesn't make sense. This isn't week 17 where you can get away with pulling Tebow for Quinn, this is the PLAYOFFS where you can't do that.

Only one person in the media has overhyped Tebow? What rock have you been living under?

I can't root for the Steelers, but I think they definitely give us a shot at home field with a win. No way Denver beats Pittsburgh and then beats the Pats in Foxborough.

Well with the Giants beating Atlanta easily, I figure I make my way back to this thread.

Go Broncos! It's Tebow Time!

Boomer Eisan just said on the CBS Pre-Game that the Steelers the last 3 road games have only scored 29 points total since Ben's ankle got hurt in the game against Cleveland.

Thinking Big Ben will struggle with that pretty impressive D, and I for one would love to see a repeat of their performance in San Fran. Only difference is the Broncos offense would have to win with 13 or fewer points.

As an aside, hope Kirby Wilson recovers well. On the field all's fair, but hate to see that happen to anybody.

The Broncos committed 9 turnovers in their last 3 games; however, they play a Steelers team that forced the fewest turnovers in the NFL this season, 15. (Then again, the Patriots last season forced a league-best 38 turnovers and where did that get them in the postseason?) [+]

The Steelers will dominate from the opening kickoff to the end-of-civilization rapture. Luckily, running between the Steelers tackles is like parting the red sea, and Tebow may get the defenders to bite on the forbidden apple of the play action. It's up to you, Tebowdiah, to let there be light at mile high.
