Shady had over 20 TDs. I think the problem for Rice was that he wasn't being used right for a good portion of the season. I'm sure people here recall Suggs complaining Rice only had 8 carries in a loss to Jac. - and Rice refusing to talk to media after another game ("If you don't have anything positive to say don't say anything"). Rice was really underused in quite a few games (with rush attempts numbering only 13, 8, 5, 9, 10 - second string stats really). Then Cam responded to criticism, and ran Rice more consistently beginning week 11 vs Cin. Ravens won 6 of next 7 games. Rice ran over 20x in each game except the loss (SD) where he only ran 10. Ray was fading out in mid season for reasons he couldn't control. When Cam changed his game plans Rice's whole season bloomed. I've been saying since his rookie year the Ravens havn't run Rice correctly. Rice is a breakway runner who might not have much after 7 or 10 carries but then "boom goes the dynamite". The more carries Rice gets the better he gets. Defenses can only bottle him up so long if blocking is half decent.
